WHAT'S NEW SATURDAY?
i'll be back later to tell you about my yesterday!!!
hugs and prayers................
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I went to work despite the snow storm forcast. Baaaaad decision. My client chattered non-stop, she's hard of hearing so it was a shout. Snow was coming down so hard that it was rough driving, she's a back seat driver too. I cut our outing short but by then was a nervous wreck.
Our Joey cat is long over due for his Depo shot because of the recent kidney infection. I went to get the med and talk to the Vet. Sadly, she thinks we may need to think about putting him down. He's not doing very well. With his condition, Dr. Shakespeare warned us long ago that Joey would never be an OLD cat. I left her office in tears. This was not good news or a day for that decision.
Driving home was hard. The plows had not touched our road. Then I was worried about Tom. He works in another city.
Waiting to hear from him I began to have full blown panic attacks. They started small and grew in intensity. Nasty nasty nasty.
by the time he got home I was exhausted. He asked if I had taken my meds. Nope, never crossed my mind. He handed me my Ativan, I went to bed and slept, totally spent.
Around midnight I finally woke up and wondered if I had eaten. Probably not and had not had anything to drink either.
This morning I fell like a rag doll. No energy and not an ounce of ambition. The panic attacks have stopped but the aftermath is rough. This is going to be a very lazy day.
thanks for listening.

Annette I am so sorry to read about Joey. That is always such a hard decision to make. I will pray for both of you!!
We are certainly having a white Christmas this year....soooooo much snow everywhere!!
I am babysitting Grace today as Jamie, Travis, and Nic are having an auction at one if their rental stores this morning. They will be gone most of the day. Gracie and I will PLAY!!!!
Tonight it will be Nic, Grace, and me....Jamie and Travis have their employee Christmas party in another town near by. They are so looking forward to it. This is why I came down so early this visit.
Jamie and I baked cookies yesterday...what a nice time that was. Just spending time with her is such a blessing!!
My trasnsmition in my car is slipping.....sure hope Travis can figure it out. He thinks I just need the fluid changed and a new filter. He is going to do that tomorrow. Please pray that is all it is....otherwise I will be in trouble!!! Travis is great with cars, he will get it taken care of.....I hope!!
I am allegic to cats ( and other animals) and Jamie has a beautiful black cat named Onyx. He sure likes me!! My eyes have been itchy for days!! I brought my meds and I will be okay.
Have a wonderful day everyone. I will check in later if I can while Gracie takes her nap.
Nic has received so many cards from all you fabulous people. He gets so excited when the mail comes as so many of the cards are for him!! Thank you all so much for making this a wonderful holiday for him!!
Love and hugs....connie d
What a wonderful Saturday it is here! Already 60 degrees and may get to 70 again! But rain is expected this evening. Of course, our Christmas party begins at 6. There are a few smokers and they will have to go outside to puff in the drizzle!
I am ready!!! Made all of the 'make ahead' stuff yesterday. The rest is pretty much crockpot stuff. Others will be bringing things, but not sure why. I always make way too much! I told them all just to bring containers to carry left overs home in! And their own drinks, of course.
We got the final decision on our homeowners insurance rate increase for next year. They asked for 70%. They were approved for 30%. We have lived here 3 years and our mortgage payment has gone up yearly - insurance increases and tax increases. Thank God I have a fixed rate! Life insurance has gone up, electric has gone up, water has gone up, sat TV has gone up, cell phone co. was bought out and new co. has higher rates. On a fixed income, it gets harder to stretch things.
There is good news though. Most of our drugs are free ($9 for 90 days for the ONE drug the base doesn't carrry). My DH's med sup is free. Gas has gone down. Our checks come from SSI and military pension, so they are pretty much guaranteed to continue, and our cost of living increases this year are better than last year (still not enough to make up for all the other increases but it helps). Groceries are cheaper on the base (and no sales tax). Prime interest rate has gone down.
We are better off than many and I thank God for that daily.
