Thanks, Janet
Hi there,
I just wanted to thank you for the tip on the cottage cheese and Carb Master yogurt. When I got my cottage cheese home I opened the container to see how dry it was, and it really wasn't. But....this moring, after resting upside down in the fridge all nite....yipee!!! So, breakfast is a tub of Carb Master yogurt and cottage cheese for at total of 25 grms protein.
Thank you so much for this tip. I'm one happy girl

Hi Sheila,
I posted the other day that I can't find a brand of cottage cheese here in AR that tastes like Knudsen in CA. The brands here all seem to be more liquidy (is that a word?), not as dry as what I was used to. Janet told me she stores her cottage cheese on it's lid, upside down in the fridge. Something about the gasses in the cheese rising to the top (well, bottom). So, it worked! The texture was definately better. She really can teach an old dog new tricks,.....LOL

Hi Susan,
Just my 2 cents worth ---- I always buy Knudsen's low-fat cottage cheese, & lately found it to be inconsistent. One time it would be nice and dry (that's the way I like it) and other times it would have way too much liquid in it. I contacted Knudsens, and they said that the temperatures during transportation could be the reason. They gave me a refund, then suggested that when I buy it, open it & check it out, then request a refund if it isn't to my liking. Luckily, it is nice & dry here 95% of the time, good thing since this is a staple in my food choices :)

Wow, Jan, wouldn't you think they'd keep the temperature of dairy pretty consistent? I mean, they're not shipping onions, for goodness sake lol
I used to just love cottage cheese, but since living here I've been disappointed too many times, so I've given up on it. Thanks to Janet, I might have one of my staples too.

I like my cottage cheese a bit on the drier side too. So I am glad that you shared this with me or I would have just kept eating soggy cottage cheese. I mean it is alright but why eat it if you can do something to make it like you want it?
Thanks for sharing, Susan and Janet. You guys are all so full of it.....knowledge that is.
Love and hugs to you both........
