Oh no Eileen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel for you girl, I had a bat in an apartment I was living in once. Scared me to death.

Eileen...thank you for the Christmas card!! And to the others of you who have sent them, I am so honored.......thank you so much!! I am BAD this year with Christmas......really not participating as I have in the past. I think it's because of having had surgery two weeks ago....my attention has been on so many other things.

Today I GET OUT THE LAST DRAIN! I am so excited about that. The drain doesn't hurt, but it sure is a nuisance. I can't wear shorts, pants or any slim dresses.....only full muu muu type dresses or nightgowns. I'll be glad to be rid of this grenade I've had hanging from my binder for two weeks now. Not looking forward to the removal, but they say it only hurts for a few seconds. I can handle that.

This morning was glorious.........like a changing picture postcard. The brilliance of the orange that started the day was mesmerizing! I kept looking and each time I looked it would have changed again. The ocean is calm, and the palm trees are just barely swaying.....so tranquil. Our visitors are down this year because of the economy so it's not wild and crazy in the stores, restaurants, etc. Nice.

Anyhoo.....time to get my bod into the shower and gently wash this banged up bunch of bruises, stitches and patches.

What a fun story. I was at the Humane Society day before yesterday and they have a book where they post every day what comes in. Every day there were at least 3 or 4 bats..and then "stray" beside them, I got a kick out of that. 3 Guinea pigs were listed too, with stray beside them. Not too many stray ginea pigs in my neighborhood.  Yep, cold as heck here too. road conditions coming home yesterday were dicey. I need to get some erands done today cause tomorrow afternoon they are callong for freezing rain, sleet . That will be a mess and I want to be tucked in safe and sound before it starts.  My department is having our Christmas party tomorrow noon at my favorite Italian resturaunt. Yummmy. My granddaughter is a bus girl there. She has asked me to take her there over her School break to eat, she works there but says they never get to eat.
I put on a Christmas sweat shirt this morning and it looks terrible, all stretched over my f at belly. Oh my Oh my, I need to get on the stick fast. Last night I made a salad, potato soup and corn bread I was sadly amazed that I was able to eat all three items. I started this about 2 hours ago and forgot to submit. I got loads of work done today( breaking arm patting self on back) Have a keep warm safe day. Do something to enjoy the season..Blessings

My cable company is still having problems. Sometimes I can post but not always.

Eileen ~ sorry to hear the bat upset you. Living in the country we get all sorts of critters sneaking into the basement. They don't stand a chance with my 8 furdemons. The only critters that bother me are the  .

Thanks to all for the lovely Christmas cards. I haven't sent any cards this year. Matter of fact, I haven't started Christmas shopping yet either. My jobs and the support groups have been kind of overwhelming. By the time all the work is completed I am dragging   . 

I lost the heart-shaped diamond out of one earring. Rats! It is the only diamond I forgot to put on the insurance policy. I have searched all over but can't find the diamond. That makes me feel sad.

My cats didn't even get off the bed to see the bat. Little wusses! And when the deputies came in, even Diva didn't come out to flirt like she usually does. The guys asked if there was a chance any cats would get out. I said, "No, they're all under the bed." I think they were as freaked as I was."

Now, my old cats, Kittle and Cinnamon once caught a lizard in Georgia, and drove a mouse into the sink, where it drowned in my dishwater. (Funny story, but I won't get into it here and now.) They were hunters ... they killed dozens of yellowjackets for me. I still don't know how this bat got in. I'm going with the explanation it got in when I opened the door for the pizza delivery, and then just waited for the moment to freak me out the most.

Good Afternoon Eileen and my OFF Family,

I don't mean to brag about the 60 degree high today or the beautiful sunshine, but.......  You all have my sympathy over your weather conditions.  We might get a dusting of snow and on rare occasions an ice storm, but thankfully they are few and far between. 

I went to pick up my Christmas present yesterday.  My DH bought me a tonneau topper for my truck. I love it.  It is painted the same color as the truck and now I have a huge trunk!!! lol.  It will come in handy for traveling up to VA Beach to be with the grandkids this Christmas.

Other that that it was a slow day.  Not much happening, but I am now complaining.  I hate all the drama that some folks go through!  I'm just a truck driving country girl and I like it quiet.  Just a little party time every now and then!

Ya'll come on down to the sunny south now ya hear!!!
