IT'S TUESDAY - What's new with you? Besides the look of this board.
Diane - Congrats on your retirement.
Pat - I hear you with the number of pots it takes to make lasagna. Sometimes I used to wonder if it was all worth it. Until I took the first bite. Also, if they have the reunion show from Survivor on line, make sure you watch it. Some of them were just downright bit*hy.
Kathikins - Hope your sinuses are better
Margo - How long will you be working 7 hour days.
Aime - Don't feel bad about the decorating. A couple of years ago we decorated on Dec 24 and took it down Dec 27.
Annette - I know you aren't supposed to do it, but when I go to the movies, I put a bottle of water in my pocket. You are right, $4.50 for a bottle of water is ridiculous, when you can buy a case for that price.
Susan - We will patiently wait for the pictures
Jean - Hope you enjoyed the GS's program
GraDebbie - You said you didn't get much done, then listed several things. I guess men have a different idea of what "not much" is.
Grammylew - When I go to the Rangers games, I collect coupons for free tacos at Taco Bueno. If the Rangers score in the 5th inning, everyone in the Ballpark gets a coupon for a free taco. Then, at the end of the season, they normally give away the leftover coupons on Fan Appreciation Day.
Karen, Brenda, and Paulette - Thanks for sharing your cold weather. On Sunday we were at 72 degrees in Dallas. Monday, the high was 36, Tuesday it is supposed to be 34.
Judy - Did you hire a detective to find them bags? If not, save your money, you sound like you may be right.
JeanB - We so hated to give my son back his Doxie. We had him for almost 2 years when my son decided he wanted him back. But we gave him up and got a second greyhound.
Connie - Have a good trip.
Have a wonderful day!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good Morning All, It's 2:30am here in the desert of SE Washington. It's cold (about 11!) and Maggie will NOT go outside unless I'm standing out there with her. . . both of us freezing our arses off! Snow on the ground. Miss Pris doesn't like getting her feet wet so I sweep off a grassy area and plant her there. She doesn't waste any time circling, squatting and running back to the front door. Can't say that I blame her.
Kind of went nuts with Craig's List yesterday. Bought two like new umbrella strollers for $15.00, two beautiful oak end tables, not cheap, but absolutely gorgeous and about 1/2 of what they were new, two Baby Einstein DVDs for the twins. . . Not necessary to get out to spend money when you have a computer!
Today we're taking lunch to a friend who had an ankle fusion.
Need to buy printer ink so that I can do my Christmas letter. Sending you all holiday greetings. I don't send many cards. Thanks to all who have sent them to me.
Hope to finish my shopping with a few gift cards. My daughter loves to shop the after Christmas sales. She's still carrying some "after baby pounds." I don't want to insult her with the size she probably needs so will let her choose her own. She's finding it harder than she thought to shed those pounds. She just needs to lose about 15 lbs but she's never had to really work to lose it before. With working from home and feeding babies all hours of the day and night she is just too close to the kitchen all of the time. Man oh man do I understand as you all do too.
Heading back to bed for a few hours. Have a good one.

george- the 7 hour days are supposed to be going forward for all of the time- however- i doubt it! sorry to be pessimistic--when the boss figures out that with only 4 ppl in the office now (that was how he managed to increase hours when 1 left) and 1 of those only working 1-4 pm and 1 working 8-12 --(in other words 2 of us have now gone to 7 hour days) we are NOT going to get the productivity he expects! we have our "own" work which is the project i am on and then we have the outside work which really helps the budget--the outside work is not going to get done as quickly as he would like to see...so the budget may suffer! i am going to do everything in my own power-which isn't alot!- to make sure that my own productivity increases-it has to by the nature of being there 3 extra hours per day.... the entire county saw budget issues so we will as well! .....so--take em ( the hours) while i can get em!!!!!!!still no bennies-never will be at this job--that bums me--however, i am grateful for the job!
the boss did ok it to work over hours now so as to be able to be off on 12/26 and leave at noon on 12/24-- well- i can leave at 245 on 12/24 and be off on 12/26...when you work 7 hours a day and have to then make up 10 it gets a bit tuff on how many you can work in a day- so i figured it out to just work an hour extra each day and i'm ok!the work is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring that it is hard to work more than 1 extra hour!!!!!then add in when you can be in the databases etc......
today is plasma day and that's about it...well- need to wrap a few things tonite so maybe michael can "post" them tomorrow while i am at work.....
got amber's hat done last nite and started the scarf but only 2 " done -46 or so to go!!! it is soooo slow going! i have til sunday!
tooth stopped hurting-thanx pat for asking! not sure what it was all about ...praying nothing else comes up with it!
i like these "cleaner" pages to post on-do not care for "moving" things on the home page- flashing things can be very distracating as well as some can trigger seizures in folks!
hugs and prayers
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

George - it is a delight to wake up to your colorful overview. I appreciate your work.
So many of the support group people are approaching surgery dates and I'm running out of piggy banks to decorate and give to them. I need to order a couple dozen more to have on hand. My craft room looks like a combination of the North Pole and a psychedelic pig farm.
We are expecting another storm tonight. Lately my hands and knees foretell a storm long before the weather report is posted. When they ache, I rub Bag Balm before going to sleep. Poor Tom detests the smell. I offered to sleep in the other room. He objected to that idea more than the aroma. I happen to LIKE the scent

Kisses

I afraid Baxter wouldn't like black furry intruders. He's 75lbs of muscle that HATES cats. There's a neighborhood cat that like to taunt him from atop the fence. It's amazing how fast his shortness can move when there's a kitty involved. If I could hoist him into the attic and into the wall the mouse would be history. Guess I need something more svelte!
No, guess I better call the exterminator before the electrical gets chewed. Well, guess that would take care of one problem though.
