Linda,  You made me chuckle..........thanks!

I am going to have an interesting day..........lots of personal stuff going on.  Pertaining to our youngest sons daughter/mom and new step father.  And I really don't need more melodrama in my life, but I cannot turn my head on this!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hiya Vickie,we have to chose our battles, and yes, some we can not let pass. There is an old country song,it says, "You gotta stand for something,or you'll fall for anything.
As of late,I have been trying to get my opinions across, without taking in the anger. If you can stop some of the melodrama from taking away the core of your inner peace,I think you will be a winner.
This is the time of year when emotions fly really hi.
I hope, this situation does, not take away the joy of this season. As women,we are not good at putting things in one compartment, and proceeding with everything else. I wish this for you as I also wi**** for myself.
This is a great place to "chew the fat",we have great ears and relate as well as comfort each other.
Please come back!

Linda....I love logging onto this sight each day and reading your posts.  They make me smile.  Thank you friend.  I would love to meet you in person as you sound like such a good person.  Much Love sent your way in sunny Arizona from frigid North Dakota (minus 25 below but feels like 55 degrees below with the wind).  This too shall pass!!  We haven't had weather like this in years in our part of the state.  I am so thankful we have electricity and heat, unlike some of those poor folks in eastern United States.  God Bless them and keep them warm!!
Bkfst:  Cr of Wheat cereal
Snack: Chocolate Prot. shake
Lunch: Leftover tomato steak, cooked carrots
Snack:  String Cheese/Apple Juice
Dinner: Same as lunch
Snack: Another "Tasty" (not) shake

Sandy, you made me laugh about the protein shake. Maybe you will find another you like,or another high protein drink.
I hail from NYC,and do not miss the winters at all. I like my snow on Christmas cards. I have also a collection  of snowmen that grow each season...smile.
I am happy and honored that you like hearing from me. These guys keep me going, and keep me honest. We do not judge other people's eating choices and I LOVE that...smile.
It is a little over cast here and around 60.may go 70...I hardly keep track of the weather in the winter,I am blessed, but consider it our prize for living through all those days we have past 100!
Stay warm, keep smiling, and congrats on your new life!

Good morning to you, Linda. I hope that the week end was good for you. I love the little messages that you put on in the beginning. They make me smile and that is a great way to begin the day if you ask me.

It is cold here~just 5. A far cry from the mid 50's of last night when we were coming home from the family Christmas party.

The party went well but I ate 4 cookies. Oh well, it could have been worse. That was yesterday and today is the start of the rest of my life.

B: sf oatmeal
S: banana
L: half a sandwich
S: fruit
D: leftovers with veggies
S: sf pudding

I better get to movin'. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful Monday. Know that I am sending love and hugs to you along with special prayers for you and yours. Meet you back here tomorrow~same place!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hello sister Brenda,I agree, each day is a new day. Before WLS, would you have stopped at 4 cookies? Annette helped me to smile when she said she used to spill more than she eats now. Remember when we were on diets (nasty word now),how if we ate one unplanned thing we had blown it,therefore it was time to stuff and stuff ourselves more???
You are doing quite well,do not let your head beat you up.That darn dragon is just looking for a place to jump in. I think you have a great perspective. Keep it up girl!
Remember how we used to beat ourselves up...you are a failure, you will always be fat,you have no willpower,  Gone are those days!

B - protein shake
S - protein shake
L - chicken ceasar salad
S - I dunno know - maybe cheese
D - chili beans with cheese, maybe a couple of crackers depending on how good I am during the day.
