It's Monday...What's New??
Well, let's try this again. I started it once and then my computer decided it was time to reboot. Maybe that's what we all need on a Monday morning...a little reboot. I received the Forever Box and will be sending it off to Brenda this week. I am officially counting down 6 more working days and then I will be retired!!! After over 28 years working for the federal government, it will be a change, indeed. I just opened a play this week. It is a musical about Noah and the ark called, Two by Two. Very cute. I had to make a bunch of props, including a wooden (completely) rake and an imaginary animal called a "Gitka". It is supposed to be mouse-like but not a mouse. I got a remote control rat in a Halloween sale and gave it a new costume of white fur and glitter. It is pretty neat when it runs around on the stage and the actors have to try and catch it. Guess I will get back to bed and check in later. Give us a little info...howya doin'???
No matter what a person's past may have been, their future is spotless. Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!!

I am so glad it has been slow tonight. My supper did not sit well with me. I had leftover Tilapia. Oh well. I will survive.
The J E T S, Jets, Jets, Jets won. What started off looking like it would be an easy game, was not so easy.
Took Mary to see Lakeview Terrace after the Jets game. She liked it more than I did. But it was okay.
We have to take in at least 4 more movies before January 31st. I have 8 tickets that expire then. Then I have 12 more tickets that do not have an expiration date. Won those at work for good job performance.
Guess I will go heat up my supper (at 4AM) now, see if that sits any better.

Congrats on your retirement, Diane. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine.....LOL, because I was so bored I went back to work part time......I do love my little job at the bank, it's only 9 hrs. a week, but it gets me out with people and that's good. I am so involved now with other "stuff", I am hardly ever home. Your play sounds cute....wish I lived closer I'd come and see it.
Up early this morning, fell asleep before "Survivor" ended so still don't know who won....anyone out there know??? Got on CBS website this morning but there was no info there.
Birthday dinner went very well.....I hadn't made lasagna in several years, and had forgotten how many dirty pots and pans it makes and how long it takes to put it together, but it turned out very good. Sent all the left overs home with DS. I took a piece about 2 in.X 2 in.
and ate a couple small bites......nope, the "Kemminator" wasn't liking it, so just scrapped off the meat and cheese and left the pasta. The peanut butter pie was so rich, and everyone was stuffed from dinner....so most of that was sent with them too....saving a piece to take to my best GF on Tuesday.
Off to work this morning, then walk right after work, and laundry this afternoon. Neighbor guy is going to come over and bring the big heavy box in when I get home, so I can try to get it wrapped and under the tree.
DS & DIL are coming on the 22nd to have our Christmas then they head to the U.P. on the 23rd.
Supposed to get really cold and snow later today....was in the 40's here yesterday.

From one Federal worker to another -- Happy Retirement Diane! You are very lucky! Enjoy every moment of it. I know you will.
It's raining here this morning. Not the heavy stuff promised but rain all the same. Doing a number on my sinuses draining so I'm up very early with box of tissues at my side.
Got an early Christmas present yesterday - a small point and shoot camera. Promptly went to see my little grandson who loves to say "Cheese" when anybody has a camera around. It was fun to play with and I must read the book I think. Spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch with crochet hook in hand.
That's about it for me. Back to work today so that should be tons of fun! Have a great Monday.

pat...lasagna! oh the memories with my kids and their dad and his folks! his gramma made the best!!!!!! i make a pretty good pan myself...was your pb pie at all wls friendly? my youngest son loves pb pie!
kathi- i need a camera myself- am using disposables still! asked my kids if maybe someone has an old digital that they would pass on to mom!
i finished fringing -4 scarves- and pompomed 3 hats and 4 extra poms for the baby "purses" which i still have to put together...amber's hat will be done tonite- needs about another 45 mins to an hour and i just couldn't stay awake! then her scarf....
today starts my 7 hour days again- am anxious for the pay checks - have to find lunch things to take!we don't really get "lunch" but have freedom to micro and eat at our desks...our chief deputy clerk came back from maternity (twins!) on thursday and i will be anxious to see if she made any impact on leaving at noon Christmas Eve or being off on dec 26......
it is 54* in lindsey, ohio, this morning--i do NOT believe it and wonder what is to come? (*edit: poop! i just looked at the forecast! sposed to go back down to 19*yikes!!! that will bring ice-my fear!!!) it is raining pretty hard this morning--sinus' not hurting-yet! tooth is feeling a tad better but worrying me...

Wal-mart sells talapia and it's CHEAP! My favorite way to cook it is to pat it dry and season w/ salt and pepper. Then brown it a bit on one side in a little heated olive oil. Pour about a cup of your favorite salsa over it, cover and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes. Yummo!
Very mild, tender fish with lots of protein and flavor. Give it a try.

Good morning everyone. Not much new on my home front. I did finally break down and start decorating yesterday. I have a tree up and lights outside. I was worn out by the time I finished. I also think I am coming down with a cold or something. Not feeling to great today. I have to go to work though because I expect to be takling the next 2 days off. Tomorrow for my friend's funeral and Wednesday to take lp to the doctor.
He will be 1 tomorrow. I can't believe it has been a year since that little darling entered my life. He is doing well and trying to walk. I can't wait til he sees the tree. I put all the unbreakables at the bottom of the tree.
