Laureen,
Didn't that just make you feel great and realize that all your hard work really shows. You are a very lovely person. I didn't look at your new pictures yet.
I had a similar thing happen at a work related function for my husband. A former co-worker of my husbands was talking to him and never even said Hi to me. As he was walking away I said, "Rick is your wife with you tonight"? He looked at me and said "Oh,do you know my wife?" I said Rick, its me Mary. His jaw nearly hit the floor. This is a couple that we used to socialize with and he didn't even recognize me.

Enjoy it every time it happens, as it will happen often.

Mary

Mary,

It's funny, but I can actually see me as I am today and realize how different I look, yet at the same time I can still see me as I was, kind of weird, but I certainly have done a double take, a time or two, passing my reflection or looking at pictures of me now as opposed to then.  I will enjoy it, for soon enough people will forget the way I used to look, it will be interesting come next summer when I have my family reunion and seeing family that I have not seen since just before my surgery. . .

Thanks

Laureen

Hi Nettie!

Thanks for the kind comments and the thing about my smile, is that I smile bigger and it's genuine now, I feel it inside. . .

Hugs my lil' sis, Laureen

Laureen, this was a great story. I enjoy these kind oh so much. It never ceases to amaze us when things like this happen. Do we ever get "tired" of these~I think not. It puts things into prospective in a way.

I was at my family Christmas party yesterday and I seemed to be the topic of conversation also. I never noticed most of it since I was way to busy socializing and loving every moment of it. I remember a time when I sat most of the time and others came to me. This year I went and talked to just about everyone! Life is so different and a great different too!

Congratulations on the great successful job that you have done. You are a wonderful role model to so many of us. I am sending much love and big hugs to you, Laureen.

that tells what kind of life you have lived.
