I'M HO-HO-HOME!!!!

Hi All, thanks for all the well wishes and prayers...they worked! Yesterday was a bit shakey but got home about an hour ago and doing ok. I'll stop by to say hi again this weekend when I feel more up to it.
I'm officially on "the bench".

I tried my best to prepare and I have not been finding it very difficult to get in my water or protein but the actual surgery part is never any fun. I'm extra sensitive to anesthesia so nausea haunts me for the first few days. I overpacked for the hospital, could've done without my robe cuz I had some "issues" that it was best I wasn't wearing my own robe.
I went thru the "what did I do to myself?" day also...but it has passed.

It's only been 5 days since my surgery and I'm doing better each day. When I need any med for pain I just take a portion of the dose to take the edge off so I can still walk around my house safely.

Good to hear you are doing okay.  Gee, you didn't stay long ater surgery. I was hospitalized from Wed to Saturday.  Each day will get better and better.  I had my 3 week checkup yesterday and the Doc was happy with my 32 pound loss so far.
You are now officially  one of us "LOSERS".

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for the support! I got back to my room on Wed about 3pm and was discharged on Friday at about 4;30pm. I had trouble with nausea the first 2 days but was on clear liquids to pureed by lunch time on Friday.
I thought of you all while I was in the hospital and was very grateful for all the support I received.

Glad you're home and doing well. I was only in for two days too, and would have been home after one if I didn't have that weird "heart glitch."

Hi Eileen,
it's good to be home and in my own "sweats" and slippers. My sis didn't make it till after my surgery cuz of the weather we had but it was great having her by my side for support. She went home yesterday because of bad weather coming again but she calls to ask if I'm drinking my fluids and walking. Eventho she only lives about 4hrs south of me she wasn't ready for the colder and snowier weather we had here. This time of year is always hard to plan travel.
