OT: Let Her Rip
I'm with you Janet. I would rather focus on the good things that gripe about stuff that I may or may not have control over.
I am fortunate to be a stay at home Mom. I don't mind running the kids to sports practice or taking their gym clothes or homework to school when they forget them.
I enjoy my friends old and new.
I am happy with my weight loss and hope to get to goal....about 20 more lbs.
My husband switched jobs in September and his stress level has decreased which has made him a happier person.
My children are pretty good kids. They are both high honor students. No major problems with them. My 16 year old son still kisses me when he leaves in the morning and when he gets home from school. They both tell me they love me at least once everyday. Other than than messy bedrooms they are great kids.
The only thing I would change is I wish my Mom was still here. I am really going to miss her this holiday season. It will be my first Christmas without any parents. I can't change that.
I have been having my family and my in laws for Christmas every year since 1990. My birthday is on Christmas so my Mom and Dad will be with me in spirit on Christmas. Thats a good thing.
Maybe I should start a thread about good things..........
I think I will.

1. Lack of $$$
2. Will be in bankruptcy for two more years (I know, I made my bed ... but I'm paying my bills back, unlike others, and in full ... I'm not taking any deals ... just wi**** would be over sooner).
3. My knees ... in so much pain all the time. I just hope this surgery Dec. 22 will help. I know more pain is ahead before I have less pain, but I hope at least there is less pain in the future.
4. My right elbow ... yup, I have pain there. ... and my back, going into my hip; and my feet. I haven't exercised in weeks, not even on the little exercycle at home, because even that hurts my knee. My exercise consists of walking around the grocery store once a week (and if anyone has ever seen a Meijer, you would understand, that's exercise).
5. Work. At least I still have a job, but the newspaper industry sucks and I don't know how long that will last ... I hope it last long enough that I will have a job until I can retire and/or claim disability (we were talking about this today around my desk ... everyone says I depress them ... sorry!) Actually, I love my job, just worried about the new year and what is going to happen with the new copy desk.
6. My cat's woes. At least she is pooping in the box, but it is diarrheal yet. Still worried about her. I hope her old mommy can figure out what's wrong because see No. 1 ... can't afford to.
7. My sister's annual "Christmas bash" ... consists of cold-cut sandwiches, usually from Jimmy John's (yuck!) and whatever else we bring ... which means I take the meat off the white bread. I don't get a lot to eat there. My brothers make fun of our annual Christmas cold-meat sandwiches. Why can't she take a little time to do something better ... maybe order from Quizno's or Honey-Baked Ham or some place better? Because she's so cheap! Otherwise I love my family and can't wait to see them ... just wish we had something better to eat.
That's my gripes for the day.

Oh my gosh. Here goes.
1.) I live on social security and right now I am close to bankruptcy.
2.) Love my son (who lives next door) but even at 46, he expects me to pay part of his bills and cook for him every night.
3.) Same son NEVER helps with anything. I have to ask him 5 or 6 times to take out the trash for me and then end up doing it myself.
4.) Hate that I have walls so dirty they can't be cleaned and I can not afford paint. And holes in the carpet but no money for that either.
5.) Hate that my granddaughters boyfriend broke up with her and she is having such a hard time with the broken heart thing. He was a great guy.
1.) So grateful that my mom is 94, still reads without her glasses, has her nails and hair done once a week and loves going to lunch or dinner with the family 3 or 4 times a week.
2.) So grateful that someone told me that medicare pays for bariatric surgery and after 8 months of hoops, I will have surgery the 19th
3.) So grateful that everyone in my family is fairly healthy.
4.) So grateful we can still say Merry Christmas which may change over the next 10 years. May only be allowed to say Happy Holidays out loud.

ya know Carla, you don't have to worry about it anymore, after all the hateful private messages and emails I have received the past couple days, I'm out of here.....I'll do my gripes on the Friday gripes on the CA boards, I know it helps a lot of people over there.....just trying to free up some gripes for people to have nice weekends......after all, I did go thru the forums leaders and she was not against it....
