Funny how this happens... it is definitely Murphys Law in full action mode...

(1) Feet are killing me

(2) Needed to get off work as soon as possible to go find some decent shoes

(3) We could not get the inventory right.... all 6 of us... frustrating as all get out... and we are a team... that is, nobody goes home as long as the count is off... We sink or swim as a unit... (I like this actually, but not today  )

(4) 13 hours.... 6am to 7pm... finally found what we needed....

(5) Feet fell off, and I have them in a box in case I need them again :)

(6) Went to yet another shoe store, just got back.... Red Wing shoes, supposedly the widest shoe in the toe area in existance...

(7) Another shoe test tomorrow... guess we'll see....

Anyone want some bloody socks?... bleeech.... thank God it's Friday tomorrow!!

Thanks for thinking of me.... I can at least say this.... ain't much they can throw at me that will bother me after this.... In the dictionary under "Misery" it said "See Marc's Feet"

Walk around in those puppies tonight as much as possible.  Makes my feet hurt just thinking about it.

The guy at the shoe store probably thinks I am some sort of wacko.... I said "I need to walk in these before I buy them, and not on your soft carpeting... I need to walk on concrete" ... to his credit he said "walk all you want" ... so I walked... and walked... and walked... for over 15 minutes... I have never walked this much before buying shoes... my wife thought i got lost

I also said "I wont buy these unless I can bring them back after wearing them at work for a day... if they hurt, I will bring them back and I want a full refund" .... once again, he said the right thing... "Of course, we want you to" ... Hmm....

.................... SOLD!!

Sound like you did the right thing before purchasing this pair and it sounds like you won't have a problem returning them if you need to.  Meanwhile ... isn't this a good excuse to get your wife to gently rub your feet and make you feel better???  Don't pass up this opportunity. Milk it for all it's worth.

My DH won't wear anything BUT Redwings for work. He changed styles not long ago that rubbed blisters like yours. After wearing them for 2-3 days with different combinations of socks to break them in, he took them back and got another style. They never blinked twice, they truly do want you comfy in your shoes! I think he went through 3 styles before he found the ones he likes best.

Marc:

I am so sorry about your feet!  Those Red Wing shoes are supposed to be good shoes, hope they do the trick for you.

Did you get over the virus or what ever???

Ouch Marc!  Give those poor abused toes a good soaking in some warm (very warm) water with some Epson Salt.  Sure does make mine feel better!

Hugs,
