Snowing in New Orleans

Can you believe the weatherman blew it.  He said possible flurries on the northshore, but very slight chance of snow for the southshore (New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner...) and definitely no chance for accumulation.  One doc who lives in Kenner came it, "It's snowing in Kenner".  I called my mom in Metairie.  She said, "It's snowing."  The few of us who came in before the snow looked out the window, and sure enough, flurries.  That was 1/2 hour ago.  Now, it's coming down like crazy (well at least for this area).  I DO NOT LIKE THIS AT ALL.  Ok, it would probably be cool if I was home, safe and warm!  Guess I'll be stuck at wor****il...  Luckily I've got a good supply of protein shakes, bars, instant soup, and oatmeal.  I won't starve!  Wish I had a change of clean clothes!

We had been getting the rain since Tuesday afternoon, so there are puddles everywhere.  We've starting to hear of some road closures.  Unfortunately it started snowing after some kids were already at school.  I'm scared of crossing the elevated bridge I'd have to cross to get home, so I'm staying put!

michael's daughter texted him last nite about snow in houston!!!!! she grew up in wisconsin so is used to it-but not in houston!!!!

sun shining here today and 20*

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Daughter in Eunice, LA emailed me at 7:30 this morning, they already had two inches accumulated.  Wonder what they have now?  Here it's starting to stick to the cars and the grassy areas around the bldgs.  Streets are still clear.

I can't believe it. I was watching the Today Show as I got ready for work. The east coast looked terrible, you in the south are getting SNOW! We have had only about an inch  so far and today it will be 40 degrees, Now I sure am NOT complaining, I am loving this but it sure is screwy.Hang in there and be careful Debbie!! Blessings

It stopped and is now sleeting - hearing ping, ping against window.  By drive time it should be clear, unless the weatherman blows it again and it freezes!  It's 33 degrees right now!  I'm not really liking this.
