I have a problem and would like some help please.......
Alright my peeps. I have a couple of questions and would like some information from everyone.
As you know I went to the wl doctor in October for my 1 year check up. I told him about the little lump thing that pokes out around my belly button at times. He said that he thought it was scar tissue wrapping around the bowel. He said that if it continues or gets worse to come back and he would get an x-ray and then he would probably have to surgically remove it. I mentioned what he said to my pcp and she told me that is called an incarcerated bowel. She told me some of the things to watch for and then said that if I get in a lot of pain not to go to the office to go straight to the hospital. I have noticed the last few days that it is poking out more and more and there is more pain. The last few days I have been terribly constipated (one of the signs the pcp said) and then the spot poked out and stayed out for while.
I guess what I am asking is what should I do? I don't want to make nothing out of something and yet i don't want to make something out of nothing. I do know that my mom and sister had a incarcerated bowel and my mom almost died from it. She was in intensive care for almost a week. I don't want to get to that point for sure.
I knew that my OFF family would know what to do about it. Thanks for the help.........I need it for sure right now.

Engel, that is what Bill keeps telling me but when he doees I don't want to hear it so I think in my brain that he doesn't really know anything. Funny what you think when people tell you what you do not want to hear.

Linda, the pain isn't all the time and so that is why I am dragging my feet. Bill keeps telling me to call the surgeon and so I am going to do that today. Whether or not I want to. I am sure that we all know that I don't want to either.

And you think we know more than your PCP?? Brenda, go to the hospital.....if you have every symptom she gave you.

Janet, I know just what you are saying but the problems aren't here all the time. So that is what's making me think that I need to just wait a bit. But I guess I should call the surgeon shouldn't I? Sometimes I can be so dense!!
