I was being serious..I'm in my 50's and my husband is in his 40's.  I have no regrets.  He treats me great!  He is my 2nd husband, but I am his first wife. There are guys out there...I'm just saying don't limit yourself to a certain age group.  There might be some younger ones who have never settled down and are ready for that now.  Whereas the older ones may be more jaded and looking for some way to re-sow their oats.

Amused?  I've been divorced for the last 11 years (second divorce), and have met my fair (or should I say UNfair) share of cavemen....

The little blue guy at the beginning of this post isn't grinning.....He's gritting his teeth!

I've finally come to the conclusion that if I can't laugh about it, all that's left for me is to cry about it.  And I choose not to do that.

I miss some of the things about having a man in my life, but the trade-off of having someone around 24/7 and putting up with all that entails is just not worth it to me.  So I "grin", make wise-ass remarks, and stay single.

Keep smiling....Everyone will wonder what you're up to!!!

Yep.  I agree.  I was divorced 18 years ago and have been in 2 serious relationships and lots of dates.  I am now celibate and not dating at all.  I got tired of fetching and carrying and being at  their beck and call.  Both guys I was engaged to were really wonderful but I am too "single".  I hate having someone around 24/7 anymore.

Funny story:
I was married at 17 and got divorced 32 years later.  On my first "date", I met a guy at a local coffee shop.  Blind date.  He walked in the door.
First question:   Are you Bette.
second question:  would you like to go sit down and have a cup of coffee?
third question:  Do you want to go back to my apt and F***?

As I said, I was 17 when i got married (back in the 50's).  All I could do was look at him and laugh.  And laugh. And laugh.  When I left, I went up and down back streets to make sure he wasn't following me.

It is depressing. I can't believe they basically have no manners or a little class.
