Shameless, blatant whining....

What a day.... the new shoes practically killed me.... I am not just saying this as a passive statement.... I mean, I thought I would not be able to complete the day... When I got home I was barely able to get out of my truck and walk in the house!

2 huge blisters on the big toes, back of my legs cramping and aching, and a slightly sore back.... what a basket case! I did my best to hide the pain I was in.. and actually did a pretty good job I think...  The shoes are really a half boot... expensive, from a company that is known for work shoes.... over 115 year old company, and really the shoes look like a very high quality shoe... and feel like they fit perfectly... so no clue why they killed me!

Wow.... I am honestly amazed at how bad my feet hurt! ... The place I work is large.... enough so that you really do a lot of walking....

OK... so, got the whining out of the way....

Tomorrow I have to be in early.... working 6 - 2:30...

I have to figure out something tonight so tomorrow I can work without killing myself... I am going to put bandaids on the blistered toes, and wear some thick socks...

Here's the kinda sorta weird thing... the knee felt fine.... didn't even get a little sore.... which it did the first couple of days with my old shoes.... so guessing the new shoes probably are better overall for posture and stride... but my feet, and especially the toes were about to fall off!

Tired of the whining?... Yea... me too...

Baby,I don't care how good they look,and screw the posture thing.If the shoes can not be stretched for comfort,you need to trash or donate them. There is nothing worse than aching feet. They will make you mean,and cry.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT wear those shoes again tomorrow. With blisters on your feet already, I don't think bandaids and thick socks will do the trick. They obviously don't fit you properly. If you are required to wear safety shoes go get another pair, otherwise wear some good tennies. If these shoes are made by a reputable company they should take them back and give you something that fits better or maybe a half size larger. Then you can wear them with thick socks.

OH Marc, 

I really think you should try something different......blisters are no fun and they could become infected.  I suppose you have to wear steel toed shoes?  Ask some of your co workers what kind they like or wear.

Wis hwe could hire someone to break in new shoes don't you? Most new shoes need to be broken in gradually. . . no more than a couple of hours at a time. I feel for you.

Marc,  My DH really loves the Doc Martens Air Walker (ankle boot style). He says that they are the best steel toes he has every had. Cost around $160.00.  For cheap steel toes he likes the Brahma tennis shoe style or the Wranglers from Walmart!  Cost around $30.00.

I would not wear the ones that killed your feet again. Everyone is right the blisters can be dangerous!  Take care of your feet!

Go buy a pair of ankle high nylons and wear them under your socks. It will take a few days for your feet to get use to the new shoes.

How can you complain to us women about tight shoes and blisters and expect sympathy???? 

We get all dolled up and put on high heels, just to look good for you guys. Our feet kill us while you walk us around or dance our feet off...
We wear ungodly shoes because men like our ankles and legs to show..... we stand on our feet all day in anything from pumps, sneakers and 3" heels.  Do we get sympathy ??  oh noooo we are told to wear sensible (yet need to be sexy) shoes.  Men are so basic... lol   

And then here is ....  what's his name?  Oh yes, ....... Sperk.  Sperk tells you to wear knee high nylons til your feet adjust to the new shoes....  OH NO....   I say suck it up buddy..... we women have to and what kind of military man would be caught wearing nylons... yeah right...  wait til it gets around that you wear pantyhose..  doesn't matter if you do or not......  it will get around.

This is just way too funny.   No, I have not had any caffeine or chocolate... (I would be dumping)...... I quack myself up

Hey babe ... when your feet hurt you hurt alllllll over! I am so sorry you are in pain.

I think your feet hurt so bad you didn't even notice your knee. Did you get those shoes fitted by a pro?? I would take then back and show whoever the damage. But it was also a good point who ever said about breaking in the shoes a few hours a day.Heavy stiff shoes ar the worst. Maybe over the weekend when you want to just throw them under the bed you should wear them a couple hours a day . Sorry you are suffering with this..Blessings
