Angels . . . with crooked halos! Erin ran out to the mailbox and came about 1 minute later to find them both with their HEADS in the dog dish chowing down. Just like they see Bess, the dog, do! I asked if she took video. She  said, no she was too worried about them choking.  Little angels with horns me thinks!!

I was just rolling just picturing this..also brought back vivid memories. I was a "farm girl" growing up. My mom would send me out with a big dish of dog food for the dogs and I would eat it as fast as I could as I carried it out. ( I was 4 years old) I can remember her yelling out the door, " Would you PLease save some for the dogs" Good grief, obviously I was a compulsive eatter even at 4. To this day I can't eat stuff with a lot of soy beans in it cause it reminds me of that dog food.

morning! i just finally finished reading all of yesterday's thread! i wasup at 3 this morning and read down thru george's post for today-
mary !! whoo ohooo you got to start the thread!!!! your family room will be great once you get it going-since you put som much YOU into it!!! i need a project to sink my teeth into and i need some quiet around here to do it!! ain't happening!

yesterday was plasma- i have been eating all that red beef to get my iron up and yetsreday was just at passing 38--i do NOT understand!!!!!!!!!!!! friday was 43....grrrrr.........

yesterday after plasma, we came home (gas was $1.45!!!!!) i made a bowl of hot farina and went to bed by 715 pm...slept til 3- checked email and the thread and went back to bed....don't feel well-and wanted the quiet.... still don't feel well.....

today, michael has PT and then after i get off work i think we may do a lil shopping as well as some more picking up of freecycling-he is still gathering computer parts....

judy-if you read this- we all are speaking out of care and concern--janet's concern is actually more for you than bandit tho i am sure she includes him and margaret is so right--if brushing is an issue then muzzle him- and the behavior that you describe on rick's part is wrong-and frightening --sorry- i should keep my mouth shut however--well- nuff said----it is your life-however you brought bandit into this and he cannot protect himself...too many animals who are abused...too many humans who take it and don't speak up....ouch-really nuff said...

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Morning one and all...

Today is my first full day at work, i.e. on my feet all day... Monday and Tuesday I had partial days on my feet due to HR appointments and doctors visit yesterday.... The knee is perfect according to the surgeon... feels pretty good too! Last night I broke down and took some meds for pain.... hopefully everything will strengthen and get better as I continue to work.

Last night we put up an 8' tall Nutcracker on our lawn along with a lighted tree thingie... so I was able to actually move a little bit after work!

I have my new steel toe boots on now... not real sure how these are going to work out... they are heavy.... I feel like Herman Munster in these things... but the job requires them, so gotta try it eh... if these don't work I will have to look around again and try something else...

Well... gotta pack a lunch and head out.... TO WORK!! .... dat's right, I said WORK!

Hope y'all have a great day...

Marc, I know what you mean about the work boots. Well, not personally but Bill has to wear them or metatarsals at the coke plant and he HATES them with a passion. I do know that he is getting use to them but it has taken a looooong time and most long for me just listening every day when he puts them on.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Happy painting today, Mary!

Nothing much new going on around here.  Up early enough to have time to post before getting ready for work.  Ugh to work.  Very busy.  Bored silly.

I seem to have a cold that won't go away.  Hopefully it won't get worse.  The plan is to get in alot of extra water and see if it helps.  Hubby had it and it lasted for 3 weeks.  Bummer.  My 2 1/2 y/o grandson must have tubes placed in his ears for the second time next Friday.  It's the day he was to perform in the pre-school Christmas program so we are sad he will miss that.  His ears are really infected and this procedure is urgent according to the doctor.  So, procedure it is.

That's about the highlight for me.  It's supposed to be 74 degrees here in So. California today.  I would actually like some cooler weather so if anybody wants to send some our way........

Take care,

Kathi

Kathi:

Take Celestial Seasonings Wellness Tea ... it has Echinacea, Vitamin C, Zinc ... whenever I have a cold, I take this at the first sign and my colds are less severe. Try it! It taste good, too.

Kathi,
Your grandson will feel so much better once he gets tubes in his ears again. My son had to have tubes 4 times when he was younger. His first set was at 9 months. He began to have a hearing loss at about 2 years old. He had a 60% loss of hearing and his speech was becoming affected. I am happy to say he outgrew the ear infections and talks your ear off and now has the normal "selective hearing" of a  16 year old ! He can easily hear me when I call him for dinner but can't hear me when its time to pick up in his room.......

Mary
