Oh dear it is going to be a long night.......

My great niece Brittany is spending the night with us. She wanted to so bad and how could I say no? But really and truly that is not the problem.

I was by the sliding glass door with Bill and we heard a little kitty meow sound. We looked and sure enough there is a little Garfield looking cat (a young one too) out at the door and looking in and meowing. It is breaking my heart. I can't stand to hear the poor thing. I want to take the little thing in but I can't. The little thing is around all the time so I am not sure if it lives here or not. He is awfully skinny tho. It is so cold out there and not sure what I should do. Bill is ignoring it and Brittany and I can't stand to listen to the poor baby.

Any ideas guys on what I can do for the little thing?

Brenda, you are so kind, are there no animal shelters in your town??
We once took a box of kitties to the mall, right in Front of Toys r Us,and they were gone in no time...
I guess I have no easy answers, let not your heart be troubled comes to mind....
I would have to feed it,I guess I am like you,sigh....
Hugs!
Sorry for being no help at all...
Can you sneak and feed it????

Me again, how about some food,a box and an old blanket? Then see what you can do on Monday...
Cat's are usually good at finding heat...there has to some warmth shooting from outside...sigh...

I'm with Linda....   I can't stand to see something so needy and not do something about it.  A warm place and a little food.... then find a place to take it...  a shelter or someplace....  Even if I couldn't hear it crying...  I would hear it cry.     it might be a good lesson for Brittany to see that even a small animal needs care and comfort if only for one night...... then find a place for it.

Best of Luck....  Millie

I guess the Good Lord took care of the problem. The little thing left and never came back. I have seen him around every once in a while and I got to thinking that he has a home and was let out. I know that he knows that Misty lives here since and I was thinking that he just came to see her. I am not sure if that is a boy or a girl.

If the little thing comes back I am going to find a box and put some towels or something in it along with a bit of food and then take it to the cat society in Westville~they keep them and adopt them out. They are a no kill shelter.

I will keep you posted on the little thing. He doesn't look very old. But I don't think he is kitten. But then again I am not to knowledgeable on kitties. Just ask Misty and she will tell you.
