Yep it is Lincoln, AL.  We are 6 miles from the Talladega Speedway.  If any of you are ever coming in for the race, please let me know.  I would love to buy you a cup of coffee.

Great idea George, thank you for starting this thread!

My ornament came from Darlene in Exeter, CA.

Darlene - you must be psychic because I absolutely LOVE the Santa ornament you sent to me!!

For the rest of you let me describe it....

It is an old world type porcelain Santa head with flowing white beard.  The hat is cranberry colored with a few gold sequins, gold braided ribbon and a floral type decoration with little gold package, rose and berries at the front of his hat.  The hat is trimmed in chocolate fur.

What is so special to me about this Santa is the fact that years ago, I used to make large, standing old world porcelain Santa's with satin gown and long fabric jackets and sold them in craft shows.  I still have several that I decorate my own home with at Christmas time.  This Santa bears a striking resemblance to the charm of my own personal Santa's.  His head is just about perfectly the same size too!

Now, the Santa that Darlene sent to me is not an ornament that you "hang", which again worked out wonderfully for me!  This ornament has a small base and can "sit" on a table or elsewhere.  Well, we didn't put up a large Christmas tree this year so I really didn't have a tree to hang something from anyway but I had still wanted to participate in the ornament exchange.  Anyway....  Tom and I are living in MA with no family nearby.  We will be traveling to Michigan for Christmas, and I just didn't feel like going through all the "bother" of putting up the tree this year.  Instead, I have a lovely log and grape vine tree that I purchased at a craft show last year.  It is about 3 feet tall, sits on top of my dry sink and is decorated with lights and dried pods, pinecones and other bits of nature.  This tree is styled like a teepee with three small logs crossing at the top, and then the grapevine wrapping around it.  At the top of the tree there isn't a star, or angel or any other kind of decoration.  The Santa that Darlene sent to me sits perfectly atop my little tree!!  Thank you so much for completing my Christmas tree, Darlene!!

Also, inside the box with the ornament was a little red sled with silver runners.  On it is a little snowman and it is personalized with my name.  Darlene, you are such a thoughtful person!  Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your friends/family.

Merry Christmas!
Vicky

I am so happy it got to you...I was worried it wouldn't get there in time.....I thought the big one had a hanger on him also.....but if it works for you sitting that is great.....physchic no....just thought he was great and different than the norm......I like the older type stuff myself.......:)

So so glad you like him....and the little sleigh...
