 Karen,
I'm so glad to read your posts about the surgery.  I had been getting the impression that it was a major deal and a major ordeal.  I was having second thoughts about having it done.  I have a long long way to go but still....  I was concerned.

You are truly blessed to have someone with you to help out on the bathing and in general care giving.  I'm interested in hearing how well the total experience went once you have healed and recouped.

Aloha Millie and thank you so much for sharing your feelings. I know exactly where you are. I was a worry wart of the first degree....and those in here who had gone ahead of me gave me the courage and hope to proceed and they were right every time!! All the fears I had built up in my mind about this tummy tuck surgery have been blown away.....I can do all the things I feared I would NOT be able to do....like sleeping in my own bed, using the toilet, bendng down, etc. I can do all of those things with only slight discomfort.

Stick with this group.....they will get you to wherever you want to go with good information, lots of laughs, some tears, and lots of sincere hugs and atta girls!

Sending you a gentle hug right now.....

Aloha darling Judy.........I am so glad to see you here!! You always give me hope and lots of laughter at your joy in living.

I know what you mean about leaning over and seeing the belly hanging. Mine wasn't too bad laying on my back on even standing, but leaning over ...uh, there was mucho hangy down stuff going on there!! I think that is GONE!! When I take off the binder now I see flat belly with a BRAND NEW BELLY BUTTON!! It's a little ugly but my nurse friend tells me it will get better as it heals.

Soon my friend will be here for my 2nd shower, and then another day of rest, phone calls, some sunshine on the lanai and a couple naps. Life is good. Hugs to you......you are so special!!

Hi Karen,  I am so glad that your surgery went so well and are able to get around so well.  Drugs are a wonderful thing after surgery so keep that pain under control and I hope to see some great pictures!  Get plenty of rest now that you are home, sleep is impossible in a hospital for me even in a room by myself.  Too Noisy!  Gentle Hugs coming your way (long stretch from the east coast of NC)  LOL

Hugs.

Aloha Vera and thank you so much for your kind words.

You are so right about not being able to rest in the hospital. Even with good drugs, there was always something going on. I had a roommate who was a "talker"...........just would not shut up until I finally said "I'm sorry, but I really need to rest and not talk." I could almost hear the "well!" from her...but at that point I just wanted quiet.........nothing more. My next roommate was in much pain and was hard of hearing so nurses had to shout everything to her....at 2:00 a.m.!! I was SO GLAD TO LEAVE THE HOSPITAL! Ha!

Home never looked so good. Thank you for the gentle hug......much appreciated.

Aloha nui loa,
