Thanks for getting us going this morning Eileen,

I am going out with my daughter Mary today. It will be sad when we leave because M & M will have a fit to see us leave without them. Grandma will promise them a $urprise when we return.

Tom and I are going for a drive to look at Christmas lights later. Don't know what else, but that will be enjoyable.

Kisses

Good morning, Eileen and all my dear OFF family.

Today is cold and windy and snowy. I guess a typical Saturday morning here. Oh well, such is life. I am not planning anything to much today so I am not going to worry about it. Won't do any good to worry anyway.

Nothing much going on today. I am thinking that Bill and I might stay home.........hmmm.....maybe a good day to put the Christmas tree up? The weather is doing it's share of putting that in my head. Every year when we would put up the tree we would always fight. Funny thing is Rick and Ella use to do the same thing. No matter we are all best friends. But one year I decided to just let Bill do his thing and when he went to work I would rearrange the ornaments to the way that I wanted them. He never figured out that I did that either. So that is just what I do and we have peace here in the Russell household. He is none the wiser for it either. We woman certainly do have our own ways, don't we? Here he thinks I am just loving the way that he does the Christmas tree. Yeah right.

Misty is over with Bill falling all over the floor getting attention from her daddy. She is just loving all the attention that she is getting. Don't get me wrong~God only knows that she always got a lot of attention. But she is just demanding more and more attention and daddy and mommy have fallen into the trap that she set. The more she gets the more she demands and it is suppose to happen when she demands it.

I guess I had better get going. I am watching I Love Lucy and we all know that is my favorite show in the whole world. I am sending love and hugs to all and special prayers are going up for everyone. Remember to smile and that will make the day not a good one but a great one. Not only for others but for ourselves too.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi everyone  -  it's cold here, too and snowing.  Of course, I'm giong to put up the rest of my Christmas decorations today  -  I like to wait until the worst weather gets here to do that!
There is  a "Great Garage Sale" going on today in town.  I am really tempted to go but I am trying to get rid of things.  It started at 8 and, so far, I've talked myself out of going, but I am feeling the pull.  What is wrong with me?  I have too much stuff and I'm going through boxes that haven't even been opened since I moved last year and I am thinking of going to a garage sale!!    I just talked myself out of going.   Whew - that was a close one.
I have lots to do to keep myself busy with all of the marking that's left, and I have a Christmas present to pick up.
My vehicle has four wheel drive and there hasn't been enough snow to use it yet - I'm hoping I get to try it out soon.  There is always one storm every year that makes it just about impossible to drive through, but it usually doesn't come until Feb/March.
Well, it's time to get on the road - thanks for helping me work through my garage sale 'thing'.
Have a great day.  Margaret

Prayers and good wishes for everyone needing them.

Good morning OFF friends.

Eileen, can you put a bar in the sliding door so Diva can't open it?  Of course, then she would probably open the bathroom cabinets and you'd have a hard time getting the poo out of there!

George, I hope your car trouble is easily solved and cheap!

Grandsons were here for breakfast til their Mom texted them to say they had 'forgotten' to clean their rooms before they came down.  Off they went to do that.  I'm sure I'll see them later for lunch.

I am going to a 'tea light' party with our DIL this afternoon.  Supposed to be lovely and warm.  It's already 50.  SOOO glad we now live in a warm clime!

Wednesday I need to have cookies ready for the DIL to take to be distributed to the USO.  I think that's where they are going.  All I REALLY know is, I bake, she takes, and they are for our troops.  I always have cookie dough in the freezer, made up into balls, I just have to take them out and bake them.

My DH is getting excited about his WLS surgery Jan 30.  Except he has already begun thinking it is his duty to clean everything out of the fridges and pantry before his 2 week liquid diet!  He is eating a weird combination of crap to 'help out'.

Have a fantabulous weekend, all.

Hi, All,

We had a Santa breakfast at church this morning from 8:30-10.  It is a Youth fund raiser for the Heifer Project.  They served pancakes, sausage and juice.  Had lots of parents and others to help so it went well.  Didn't have as many "custormers" as last year but it wasn't a bad turn out.  Santa got to hold all the children and some adults on this lap.  He has a real beard and is a great Santa!

I will rest this early afternoon and then Wesley and I will probably go to Charlottesville this evening to see Gene at UVA and then have supper out.

No snow here, but very cold and grey.  May have snow showers tonight.

Have a good day everyone!

I was up at the crack of dawn this morning and out to Wal Mart before 7 a.m.  Just needed a couple things and wanted to get it done and out of the way.

It's extremely cold and blustery here with snow showers that are supposed to last all day.

Baked two loaves of Michigan Brown Bread (date/nut) and they are cooling.  One will go to a party I am invited to this evening, and the other into the freezer for later.

Have been struggling to get the house decorated....the tree is up but bare.  I actually like to let it rest for a day after being shoved into it's box, then take the time to arrange the branches later.  That's on the agenda for tomorrow.  The nativity is up on the entertainment center along with my little collection of angels and the small village.  Have stuff for on top of the piano, but ran out of energy to start on that!!

Had an upset last evening when I went to eat supper, took one bite and was instantly sick.....think it was the leftover chicken so it went down the garbage disposal.
Finally had a couple bites of cottage cheese around 9 pm and didn't really want that, but it stayed down.
I couldn't stand it and weighed myself this morning, am down one lb. since Monday.....was hoping for more but grateful for that much.

Need to grab a bite of lunch now and finish decorating.

Keep warm if you are in the midwest and have a lovely Saturday.

Hugs,
Pat R.

Hi Eileen and friends! Seems I only have time on Saturdays lately to post and catch up on things. All my 9 Xmas trees are up, 1 still has to be decorated. It sounds like a lot, but most are small prelit trees with no ornaments. But they sure are cute! And I still have to find some of my other decorations like the Nativity, my snowman village, etc. I can see the buckets in the garage, but getting to them is another matter.

It is cold and snowy here too. My driveway plowing service was here this AM. Second time this week. I had the delusion it would be a mild winter snowwise compared to last year's once in a century snowfall with over 100", but not so far. We are pretty much getting it at the same pace as last year.

The big reorganization announcement at work was made on Monday. My group didn't make too much of a fuss since they knew our part of the reorg before the rest of the dept. I'm excited and see it very positively and as a great opportunity for my group. My new boss has already called me part of 'his' management team and wants me to move my office closer to the rest of his dept.

Well, gotta get going with the decorating. I'd love to get it done today. Everyone, have a great weekend!

Hi ...... has already been a long day and we have DH's Christmas party tonight.  I just can't help but wonder what it will be like next year after I have had my surgery.  Pretty sure I won't be wearing 2X tops and size 18WP slacks  Oh, I am so excited.....but then nervous too when I think of it too much!  I called the DRs office on Thursday, she told me not to worry about calling and "bugging" them.....told me the squeaky wheel gets the grease.  Sooooo I will be calling them every Monday and Friday until I know that they have sent the paperwork in to insurance!  Actually it is the therapist who did my psych eval who is holding the process up!  Don't know what is up with that?!

My youngest sis and I went shopping in Mankato MN this morning......cold, windy and snowy....made for a real mess on the car!  DH is washing it right now and then I suppose I better get ready for the party.  Would really like to take a nap.  Shopping wears me out, and my feet are killing me.....not used to being on them for very long as I have a desk job.  This time next year that problem should be solved.......not as much weight on the poor size 6.5s!!!!

Well, better get moving....hugs to all....Vickie

i know it' s saturday nite so i don't expect many will read my post but hey! i finally am allowed on the computer- the other person living here has been hogging lately..i responded to a few posts earlier when he was on potty breaks--either his or the dogs!

eileen-diva has been on my mind all day as i knitted away-- putting her in the bathroom is one thing ( and you are NOT a bad mommy---) and it's too bad she got out but the thing really bugging me is that if her poo is ucky like you describe-then something is wrong with her medically--no matter that the vet didn't find something--she is not making it diarrhea-ish by being a bad girl--it's something wrong.....we have all speculated taht she is being ornery or missing you or whatever-but something is wrong.....and i know how vets cost and i know you are broke- welcome to my world but ...anyhow you get my point!

long day yesterday- work then michael's PT,freecycling, plasmadonation then some shopping--and i dumped - i'll write about it seperatley -case nobody reads this post!!! a dumb margo trick i guess.....

speaking of dumb margo tricks--where is monica bond these days???and where is usty????there are a lot of folks who we don't hear from and it's nice to have a check in once in awhile!

well- today has been knitting and more knitting- getting my "lists" togeer and condensed and listening to holiday music! i have realized that i am missing some really great holiday cd's which makes me wonder where i put them and which Christmas they got put away during......that might tell me where they are!

it has snowed off and on all day but only about 1/2 inch out the.....mid 20's all day ....

babbling here so
hugs and prayers.............

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
