What is New? TGIF Edition

Well, George, the reason the thread doesn't get started so early is because most people SLEEP and don't work at night.  They get up, yawn, grab a cup of coffee and start the thread.  You just happen to be the only nightowl, methinks.  The rest of us are old and cranky and need our beauty sleep.

I filled out my background check forms last night for the security clearance I need for my new job.... took 2 hours! .... there's only 2 things I like to do for 2 hours...

..... that's right - Eat and sleep! ...

Anyhoo, it was weird writing down addresses for the past 7 years.... 12 places! .... I gotta settle down... make this house last a long time, stay at this new job for a looooooooong time... I guess being in the Coast Guard ruined me or something... got me used to moving all the time... dunno...

I bought some steel toed safety shoes last night, so I would be 100% ready to go Monday morning... $137.00!! .... good gravy! .... supposedly these are the best things since chit on a chingle so I am sure hoping they are worth the money... if my feet aren't killing me Monday night they will be worth every penny...

Working on my attitude... so mentally I am ready... telling myself "if someone craps on my head, thank them for making me warm" .... I am going to be humble, and contrite, and the best worker-bee they ever saw!

..... OK.... babbled enough... or more than enough.... need to refill the coffee cup and read some emails.... I will look through the want ads I guess.... might be fun now that I HAVE A JOB!! ... WOOO HOOO!

TGIF!  and payday to boot.  YEAH!  I just about have the house clean for the party tomorrow.  Whew!  it has been a major undertaking.  My shoulder has been bothering me too, this is the one I injured in some way when I tried roller blading a few years ago.  slam!  that trail came up really fast!  Just a few more little chores to do. I'm leaving work a bit early today to get everything done.  Have a special church service to go to tonight so need some extra time to get it all done LOL! 
I have to tell you all the provigil helped with the day time sleepiness, this week I am trying ritalin which is in generic form and MUCH cheaper.  $120 per month vs $4 per month......Well, it is working just fine also.  So if all goes well, I will continue to go with this. 
Angus decided today he HAD to go outside at 0520.  the alarm goes off at 0530....so up I got after being stood on, pawed, nosed and whined at.  Got to work a tad early but forgot to punch in until normal time.  duh!  Oh well. 
The kitties are still very skittish.  I did try something new the other night and it seems to be working well.  I took the can of cat food into the room with me and sat on the floor.  Opened the cat food and once they finally came out and up to get the food they thought was sitting out I had it on my finger.  they took turns eating off that finger but still won't let me pet them.  last night it took much less time for them to come out and get the "good food"!  but of course if I try to pet them......hisssssss swat, growl!

well it is a cold one here this morning!!! last i saw it was like 28 and wind chill was 13...BRRRRRRRR had a lite snowfall and sun is trying hard to come out now...

still no word on johns mother...hopefully she will be ok. also nothing new on gary to report...but THANKYOU FOR THE PRAYERS!!!!

at work this morning they had a thankyou breakfast for the workers that worked thanksgiving week...so i stopped in after taking rick to work...they had scrammbled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast and regular toast. i ate one sausage and two bacon slices and some scrammbled eggs...omg i feel so sick now!!! scrammbled eggs were always a problem for me to handle...why did i try them today?? its like they are right in my throat...just might be tossing it all up yet....mouth seems to be getting pretty wet right now...lucky for me i don't have to be to work til 1:30 today. but i work til 10 pm tho and that sucks...but the pay check will be good 36 hours!!!! wooohoooo

got my christmas cards all filled out and ready to be mailed. sent out my ornament the other day so my person should be getting it today or tomorrow if post office didn't lie about it...

well not much else happening right now so i am going to go lay down and see if this yucky feeling goes away...hope you all have a great day and thankyou again to all that are sending prayers for gary and johns mom!!!

I know what you mean about eggs, Judy......I still can't eat them soft cooked....hard boiled yes, but not often either....use egg beaters a lot in my cooking because of the fat content in regular eggs.  I wish that happened with "sweet stuff"....it sure goes down nice and easy!!! LOL

Good Morning George and my OFF family,

Yesterday was reasonable uneventful.  We went to Wilmington NC (about 50 miles away) to do a little shopping.  We ordered my Christmas present and it should be here and installed on my truck the week of the 15th.  YEAH!!! I am so excited.  I drive a 2005 Ford F-150 4-door and I have been wanting a Tonneau Cover that is the same color as the truck.  Jason ordered it for me I cannot wait!!!  We are going up to VA Beach, VA for the Christmas Holidays and I will be able to put everything in the back.  We usually have to put it all inside and it makes it cramped for my daughter! LOL  Not this year!  Can you tell I am excited!!

I worked yesterday in the office and I have office duty today all day long.  Real Estate is still very slow and I am working on my Christmas Cards now but thought I would check out the boards before I got writers cramp.
