What is New? TGIF Edition
I wasn't going to start this three days in a row, lest someone thinking I am hogging it (LOL), but I am getting bored here at work and there is no one posting.
Today I leave work at 6:15, have to go to the bank and Walmart (my bank is in Walmart and there is a teller on duty 24 hours a day). Need to pick up a few things. Hope to be home by 8AM. Now, keep in mind I have worked all night. At 9:45 I am picking up 2 of the grandkids to take them to see the model train exhibit at North Park Mall in Dallas. A wonderful annual exhibit. Take them to see Santa next (the same guy has been doing it at that Mall for years. His real beard, etc). Then take them home. Take Mary to Outback for dinner. Then on to Keller for their Christmas show (granddaughter doing dance recital for it). Then either the movies or home to get some sleep. Tomorrow have to be at part time job at 8AM. I will get some sleep in the afternoon.
So, what are your plans?

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good Friday morning to you, George and others.
I am sitting here with such a headache and only 3 hours sleep. I do think that the insomnia is coming to visit again and this time it is bringing friends. I have been getting about 4 hours sleep and tonight I can't seem to get that. Oh well, such is life I guess.
George, I am not sure just where you get your energy, but do you think you could send a bit of it my way? I am not sure how you do it. But I know I use to work midnights and my schedule was kind of like yours was with the exception that I only worked 1 job and not two. But the hours of that one was atrocious tho. I worked sometimes 12-15 days in a row without a day off. The money was good but the girls that I worked with was a different story. I was a phone operator at a answering service. I just enjoyed that so much and was sad to leave it but like I said~but not the girls that I worked with.
I got the copies of my Baby Caleb's ultrasound. I made 3 copies of the four of them. I thought that way Bill can have a copy, my copy and one for home. You know you never know when someone is going to pop in and you need a copy to show. I was at church last night and showed the women there. They all enjoyed them. One (she is one of my best friends~I have known her my whole life and she was the sister of my BIL) told me she never gets tired of looking at pictures. I told them that I was turning into the grandparent that I always said I would never be.
We gathered at church last night and filled the tins of candy, cookies and such for the service men and women and the ones in the nursing homes and shut ins along with the church staff and the trustees. They were stuffed and then we sealed them and wrapped the ones for the mail that is being mailed. We did about 30 or so tins and they are ready to roll today. It only took us about 1 and a half hours so that wasn't bad at all. The tins for the service people were not tins tho. They were big boxes and we filled them to the top with the stuff I mentioned and then other things that they might need while they are there. It will cost about $100. to mail them to everyone. We do that every year and it just keeps getting better and better.
Today is going to be a day of I am not sure what. I know that sounds strange but I am kind of in the air about what I have to do today. My niece called me the other night and asked me if I would take her to get the papers done for the car insurance company and then a copy of them all out to the car dealer. Her insurance is kind of giving her the run a round about things. She told them that she is not happy about all of the crap that they are doing and then she told them that she might get another insurance company. They told her alright. I am not sure of a company that does that. Now that might change when all the stuff is done and they really want her to stay but then again they might be a company that drops you after you have an accident too. Who knows since she has never had a claim in all the years she has had them. So.....anyones guess is up for grabs as far as I am concerned. But anyway back to the chore at hand. She said that if it is snowing she is a chicken and doesn't want to drive in it yet. When it has snowed she has had her boyfriend take her to work and pick her up. Thank God he works midnights. ha ha Otherwise there might have been some problem. I told her that I would do it for her since I know just what she is talking about. After my accident I was afraid to drive too. But then again I couldn't drive right away since I was hurt and ended up in the hospital a few days later with whiplash that permanently damaged my nerves in the cervical area. But still and all I know where she is coming from. I don't know if there is going to be snow today or not.
I am picking up a spring form pan from free cycle today. She wanted me get it last night but I told her that I have problems seeing at night to drive. I do have that problem with where I am not sure I am going. I just put the car on automatic pilot and it goes right to the church! ha ha She understood and so I am to pick it up at 10 this morning. I had a spring form pan that Ella gave that belonged to her mom. Then she borrowed it and it never found it's way home again. I just thought if you needed it why did you give it to me in the first place? Oh well such is life. I have wanted another one for a long time and now I have it~or will have one soon.
I got the finial for the mission style lamp that I got off free cycle. It is the ones that are made of burnished steel and has a leaded stained glass shade that flares. I just love it. It needed only a finial to hold the shade on and I couldn't find one since it is so old and it is more like a pipe. My cousin Bobby told me to measure it and go to Ace Hardware and get something there. I did and he got me a nut that is short and flat and fits so nice. So this beautiful lamp cost me a whole .64 to fix and to use. I have it setting on my mom's cedar chest in the dining room. I have it on right now and it brightens the dining room and makes just enough of light in the living room to make it nice and not glaring. It hold 3 light bulbs but I have 2 in it and if I had 3 it would be just to much. I love my lamp so much!
I better get to moving' and shutting up or you all are going to start hunting me down and super glue my mouth shut~or rather super glue my fingers together. I am sending love and hugs to all and special prayers are going up for everyone too. Please take a moment in your day today to make someone else's life a bit happier even if it is just to smile at them and say hello.

George, I'm with Brenda....how in the world do you do it? I'd be face down in my Outback dinner LOL
Yesterday my dear Tess (dil) had to go to her plastic surgeon. One of her breast implants has done something weird, not encapulated, something else I can't explain. Any way, it has to come out NOW. He gave her strict instructions not to do anything to cause friction against the skin or it might actually rupture! She's scared to death, reasonably so. Surgery is Tuesday and isn't covered by insurance. Fortunately, they doctor is the one who put them in, and is "only" charging $3000 to remove them. She'll miss a week of work and three days of school. The good news? She'll be able to get our Saint Bella products onto etsy.com while she's laying around.
Ok...gotta get ready for work. High today is going to be around 43 so I'll need to layer on the clothes. Might look 10 lbs heavier by the time I'm done
Hugs to all!

Dear sister Susan, I am most certainly keeping Tess in my prayers for her upcoming surgery and the days before it too. That is a scary thing to happen and I know that our kind and gracious Lord with keep you all in His loving and healing arms. Please keep us posted on how things turn out for Tess.
Love and hugs to you not only for this but for all the other big exciting happenings in your life.

Brenda, thank you for your thoughtful prayer and kind words. The best thing about starting this little adventure with Tess is that it has made us best friends. She'd rather be with us than her disfunctional family and we have so much fun together. It pains me to see her so scared and hurting. But, the Lord got us here, He'll keep us going!
Take care
