My DH has a date for his lap band surgery!  They'll take his gall bladder out at the same time (he has a stone).

Jan 30th.  WOOHOO!

They called last week to say Jan 21.  Sorry, we can't do that, I'll be in OR Jan 19 to 27.  They called this AM to say FEB. 25th.  We said YIPES, why so far out?  Well, you said you were gonna be gone.  GRRR.  I'll only be gone 9 days!

So she just called us back, again.  New date Jan 30.  His pre-op is Jan 12th.  He starts his 2 week liquid diet Jan 16th.   I leave for OR Jan 19th.  What a shame, I'm gonna miss most of his liquid diet!

We are SOOO pumped!

will he stick to the liquid diet with you gone? sorry-had to ask!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Well, Margo, that is exactly what our daughter asked.  I HOPE he is a big boy, and will be OK.  I HAVE considered putting all of the food out in the extra fridge in the laundry room, and shoving it face to face with the freezer out there.  That would also block the pantry.  I don't think he would be able to get around in there to push/pull them apart.  But he might take offense.  He will need to get to the washer/dryer or I'd think about locking the room some way.

He's gonna do the EAS Advantedge.  So he can have 7 of those a day to equal 800 calories.  That is one every 2 1/2 hours, basically.  Plus all the water and coffee he can suck up.

It will be so much better for him to have you there supporting him with your healthy life journey as well.  I am just praying he will be strong those few days you are away.  I'm sure he must want this as well as you wanting it for him.

Have him check in at the board if he is so inclined.  We will help keep him occupied and focused in the right direction.

It won't be long now and he is going to be on the loser's bench too. We can keep the seat next to open for him so we will have some slight rearranging to do but that won't be a problem.

I am sure that he will do fine on the liquids since this is something that he wants. If it is something we truly want we will do what we have to do to get to it. We are all living proof of that aren't we?

Again, congratulations to hubby!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
