I think it's Friday now-What's New?
Hi Deb and my OFF family:
I love coming here and reading all the posts. Annette's post made me laugh. Her granddaughter's antics always do ... just as her cats' antics do ... they are quite a team.
I had a quiet Thanksgiving ... ate my leftover turkey wing dinner from Sunday, watched a little football, took a nap during the Lions' game (easy to do, they stink), then went into work. Very slow night. I had to finish up the business page, then do the nation/world page and the "3-minute" page, which is the weather map and a summary of the news page, plus the "people" news. And, of course, proof everyone else's pages. There were only two other people on the news desk, so it was easy. Poor Melody, she had a cold. She's an overweight woman a little younger than me (not by much) who has a college-age daughter ... she once asked me about WLS, but told me her doctor wouldn't recommend her because she had no co-morbidities ... but Melody said she was starting to have arthritic knees ... I said that's one right there. Melody said she was healthy otherwise ... I told her if she was obese, she wasn't healthy. But her doctor still wouldn't recommend it for her. What's wrong with these doctors anyway? I told Melody she should get another doctor. And then Melody said her daughter was afraid for her to have it ... I think Melody is afraid to have it, and if you're not ready for it, well, then you shouldn't have it.
Today, I hope to get some decorating done. It's going to take some time because it's just so painful for me to stand for so long. So I'll take it easy and not overdo it. I want to get it all up by the end of the weekend. Since I've moved furniture around since last year, I have to figure out where I'm going to put everything this year again. Plus, I have some new stuff for outside I got on sale after Christmas last year ... an LED reindeer for one.
Then it's off to work ... can't wait for the weekend. I'm tired.
Oh, good news on the poop front ... nothing outside the box today. I think Margo is right, I need to ditch the cat tower, but it's heavy. I may call my handyman (I need him to come over and check that toilet anyway), so maybe he can haul it away and haul away the recliner too.
Have a good day.
