Hi Everyone,
Well we are off to Busch Gardens for the day. I hate amusement Parks. I wish Carl will just drop me off at International Mall and pick me up when theyare done!!!! But no I have to go with them!!!!!
I am on my way to 4 bucks in a minute. I told him we had to go to 4 bucks before we left for Tampa.
The Amish restaruant wasnt what I thought it would be. Canned Yams!!!!! Yuk!!!!! It was just like their regular buffet nothing special and it cost 18.99. a person.
Well on with the day.

Hi everyone
Can't stay long.  My little female German shepherd has been off her food for two days although she has eaten a little of the things she really likes - cheese and cauliflower.  This morning, my one and a half year old sweet girl doggie looks like she's ten and is moving very slowly.  Her condition has me scared to death and I am on my way to the vet's to drop her off on my way to work.  I wish that I could stay with her, but I teach this morning and I can't.  She is my little sweetie and I hope to God that there is nothing seriously wrong.  I lost my 8 year old German shepherd last year to cancer of the spleen and I thought that I'd never get over it.  I'm divorced with no kids and my dogs are very important to me.  Wow.  I'm petrified now thinking of losing her.
Please say a prayer, swing chickens, whatever for my little girl.  Her name is Creena, which means "my heart" in Irish.
Thanks very much - you're all so kind.

margaret...special prayers for creena...and you....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margaret, my prayers are going up for both you and Creena. I know that God will hear all of our prayers and take care of your beloved. I can understand why you named her Creena, since I can tell just by the way that you speak of her she is indeed your heart.

I know just how hard it is losing your babies, since I feel the same way. I have lost so many of mine and to this day, no matter how long ago it has been they are still so missed and even more importantly, so loved. That is the wonderful thing about love, it never dies.

Please let us know how you little girl is doing.

Hope all is OK with your dog ... I know how it is with pets. I'm single too and all I have is my cats, they are my family. I ache when I think they are sick. My mom doesn't understand at all. She thinks it's stupid to cry over an animal. But they're my babies, and I know exactly what you're going through. My heart goes out to you.

Hi Debbie and everyone! My T'giving was quiet. SIL had to work for the 1st time ever on turkey day so we are having our celebration and dinner tomorrow on Sat. Niece and nephew's birthdays are this week, too, so we always celebrate the b'days on turkey day. So I watched the parade and dog show, shopped a little online, then went out in the garage sorting through boxes of newly delivered Xmas decorations, emptying boxes, cutting them down so they'd be ready for the recycling truck that came very early this AM. Had 5 big boxes full of cut down boxes! So today I hope to get most of the outside decorations up. First time in the new house so I'm not exactly sure what I'll put up yet. Many of the old decorations won't fit in my new yard but I do have a large front porch now so I'm putting up prelit garland on the railing, etc. Got to find my spotlights in the garage boxes I haven't unpacked yet. Ugh. Found the spotlights but need to find the holders. And the extension cords, timer, etc. Will probably take longer to find everything than to actually put them up! LOL.

Supposed to snow on Sunday so I must get things up outside today. Then when it snows on Sunday I can have a fire going and decorate the inside, have a hot cocoa, maybe a slow cooker beef stroganoff warming, The Bishop's Wife on DVD, hmmm. Sounds good to me.

A great weekend to all!

I'm praying for your dog. I had to put down my best furry friend in September. He had cancer. it was so hard. I had him for a long time. I have two other dogs and two cats----but Toby was always there for me during some reallly tough times. I hope there is nothing wrong with your dog.

hi debbie and all !
i have macular degeneration in my left eye- it is the dry form and i am not seeing much advancement-thank God ! -tho the whole concept scares the beejesus outta me...i could deal with never walking again or never hearing but never seeing scares me....

george , i caught your alma mater- awesome band!!!! be proud!!!

our turkey day was quiet and uneventful..i like that! i put too much sage in the stuffing so i wasn't pleased but michael gobbled it! (sorry-had to!)

today we slept in til i had to get up to put the dogs out-have done some knitting already -have gloria's hat almost done- and then her scarf- have to find some different yarn for amber's set- the stuff i bought works up horridly...and need to fringe and pompom 3 sets.... don't have much more to shop for  cuz i am really limiting this year...and was not about to attempt the crowds..well- no money right now anyhow! i did black friday with my sis in law a few years back- was a riot but mainly cuz she makes it that way!!! had we been in wisconsin this weekend i would be out shopping right now!!!

michael has PT today and we need some miracle whip-can't have a good turkey sandwich without! that and getting teh mail is the extent of the plans--anything else is "gravy"...i'll knit some more- should attack the decorations but may just wait til tomorrow....why rush!!! didn't do any decorating last year due to my depression and work and school so if i at least want to this year that is a positive!!!

hugs and prayers..................

Good morning everyone!! I am so glad to see that we survived Thanksgiving '08! I did but at times this morning I have wondered how I did it!

My sister came for dinner yesterday. Bill went to Chesterton to get her since my niece Autumn is using her car since she totaled her new one a few weeks ago. She is waiting for the check from the insurance company. Carolyn got here about 2 and she finally left to go home at 10 last night. OMG I was so dang tired I never thought that she was going to leave. I had been up since 5:30 a.m. with only 4 hours sleep and I just wanted to go to my nice warm and comfy bed and sleep! When we got home from taking her home I went right into the bedroom and got ready for bed and I plopped down and never looked back either!

Dinner was nice and I finally did it!!!!!!! I made the ham and the ham gravy and it tasted like Mom's use to. I have been working on that for so many years and so has my sister and we never got it done but this year it finally happened! It was like Carla told me last night~it was kind of like having Mom and Dad here with us. It was a good thing and a good day too.

I am not shopping on Black Friday today. I use to do it with Ella and her girls every year but the past few I have stayed home. I am planning on going to Walgreen's to get the Webkinz' that they have on sale until 1p.m. You buy one for $6.99 and get one free. My great niece Brittany loves those and collects them. I wanted to buy her a couple of them and this way she is getting 4 of them! Can't beat that with a stick, that is for sure! Santa is poor this year and so things are going to be limited. At least everyone is older and know how things are so I am not feeling so bad. I already got the grandbaby a couple of Christmas gifts for under the tree so that is one of the important things. Bill said that I was nuts to buy the grand a gift but I told him I didn't care if he understood or not. I felt that it was important for Baby Whozit to have a couple of gifts under the tree this year. I got a stuffed tiger with no buttons or anything so the baby can have it from the start, and a nightlight that has animals on it and nice little prayer written on it.

My house is clean and the kitchen is cleaned with great thanks to Bill yesterday and so today is a day of rest for old me. Bill goes to work today and he is working tomorrow too. They fired one of the guys that he works with and so he is working 6 days a wee****il they hire someone to replace him. Bill thinks that they are not going to replace him. We agreed that for a while we will gladly take the overtime for his working 6 days but he wants to be able to have his week ends off sometime too.

I guess I had better get this bee hind going if I want to get to Walgreen's for those animals! Oh the trials of being the only helper in this house for Santa! Bill is still sound to sleep and here it is 9:30. I am use to getting up early and he is still very much not a morning person. I don't think he will ever be one of us!

I am sending love and hugs to all and special prayers are going up for everyone. In times like this we all need those. Make sure that you smile at people since that might be the only joy that they have today. Have a wonderful day and remember this is the day that the Lord has made so let us rejoice and be glad in it!
