Gobble Gobble! What's New Thanksgiving!

Cranberry is kewl.......I can vision you in punk colors.......

It would have been cool if it weren't for it not being even. Just the white areas around my face were that color....not a look I go for  lOL

You HAVE to make those chipolte sweet potatoes. I just got them finished and tasted (can't serve anything that isn't good, right?) and they're amazing!

Punk is not even, that's the point.....it's kewl......:)

i got ready to cook our turkey breast and realized it is fully cooked! it was part of the food bank food we got a few weeks ago...dang it!!!

There was a great program in San Diego called "Share".  Once a month you paid $13 and signed a slip showing you did 2 hours of some sort of volunteer work and you received a load of groceries. Good stuff too. Since we were always vounteering somewhere for something, we did enough for my folks to get theirs too. There were lots of places all over San Diego County that were set up.....churches or community centers.  Google it....there might be one near you.

I'm going to try and get the box of yarn together this weekend. Gary has another load of e-bay things to mail on Monday so I'll be going there anyway.

interesting program! i googled--unfortunately not in Ohio ! but the Angel Food Ministry thing that eileen wrote about a few weeks back is near me- that is $30 a box and no income guidelines /restrictions...

i need to learn to sell on ebay-i have a paypal acct and i have the ebay acct ( tho i can never remember passwords etc!)  --i DO NOT have a digital camera which i think would help!

Eileen....thanks for the start.......and for being such a faithful sister in here.

It's Thanksgiving morning, and always feels so strange living in the tropics on the holidays. People will be out surfing, snorkeling and playing bocci balls (sp?) on the lawn before long. It's a beautiful sunny day, and will probably being around 85 I'm guessing. I have my 4 packages of chopped spinach out thawing so that I can make spinach side dish to take to my neighbors later today. I'm sure I will be smelling turkey very soon....yum!

On this day of giving thanks, I have so very much to be thankful for. I must remember to do that often during the day. There are so many struggling right now, and I feel sadness especially on a day like this when so many are celebrating with an over abundance of food and family closeness.

I am extremely thankful for all of you!! This wonderful little family adds so much richness to my life, and the help we give each other is HUGE. Thank you for sharing your lives with me.

Now, I think I'll go for a long walk on the beach!
