I am 200 pounds less than last Thanksgiving, could you imagine trying to cook a 200 pound turkey..??
Gobble not much, squabble even less. I am going to work, and will get home in enough time to enjoy my evening with the family.
I will think of gratitude, and try to keep that attitude.
I got a card from my dear Boo,Connie D,and will open it at work, for it will   make me smile.
B- Cheese sticks L-Turkey, a lil stuffing and veggies D- Mo turkey..LOL.
While our family gets on our nerves, imagine life without them...
I am going to work 'cause I volunteered,I wanna be there,I wanna wish as much of America as I can a Happy Thanksgiving, and the extra bucks will help Santa.
I adore youse guys,I am happy not to be cooking too! A catered meal,I feel rich!

Not sure WHAT I'll be eating today.  Thanksgiving dinner has been postponed.  Our son and his family were supposed to be home yesterday from their annual hunting trip to WV.  He called yesterday to say it was snowing heavily and they would wait to leave until later today after the snow stops and the roads have been sanded.  It is an 8 or 9 hour drive in good conditions.  Of course, we want them here safely, and we have nothing that can't be prepared tomorrow.

Today is our 43rd anniversary, so maybe my DH and I will try to find an open restaurant where we won't need a prior reservation and snuggle in a corner somewhere.  Our just sit here and snuggle while watching the Macy's T-Day Parade and eating something quick and easy.

My dear Linda:
A Blessed Thanksgiving to you friend.   Hey, someone has to work on turkey day and the cash is especially nice....besides you won't have to cook then and you will enjoy your evening with your family.

I can't believe it is raining in Phoenix!  I didn't think you folks ever got rain.   It's cold here this morning, I just looked at the outdoor thermometer and it said 22 deg.   Should get into the low 40's by afternoon.  The good thing is there is NO SNOW.,

Have a blessed day Linda and best wishes from your
WLS buddy in Michigan.

Hugs,
Pat R,

Happy Thanksgiving to you dear one! Just think~200 pounds gone and now just a life time of nothing but wonderful things! It is hard to imagine you 200 pounds ago. But as you say that would be some big old turkey! Heck it would be bigger than me and I never thought that I would say that one!

Food has been hay wire since I have been gone. I guess with drawl will do that for ya! It is hard to imagine that I always stuffed my mouth and wasn't even aware of me doing it. I am so aware of it all right now. I have not always been happy with my choices during the last couple of weeks but that is changing and that is the most important thing. The last few days I have been making more of an effort to know what I am doing and most of all what I am feeling.

I am cooking this year. I usually don't do that. We always go to Rick and Ella's but this year Bill decided that we should stay home. I thought~heck that means I cook. ICK! Usually my Thanksgiving cooking is a dessert and dinner rolls. Now it means more work~and a lot more work if you ask me!

B: oatmeal and banana
L: ham and some mashed potatoes along with green bean casserole
D: probably more ham (I am aiming for it to taste like my mom's did~we shall see if it works out!) and more green bean casserole I am sure
S: dessert at Ella's

Dessert at Ella's will be good since she does Weigh****chers. I am thankful for that one!

I am sending you love and some big hugs to go with it. I know that you will be keeping a big smile on your beautiful face and a song in your heart. I can't picture you with anything else but!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I am keeping you and yours in my special prayers! I have missed you so much, Linda, more than you know!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Linda,

Wow!  200 pounds gone is a lot to be thankful for.

My husband is cooking a small turkey outside on the grill today.  It will yield far too much for the 2 of us to eat, so tomorrow I will be making up a lot a different turkey concoctions to put in the freezer.

I will take Polly to visit Mom sometime today.

B: banana bread weight control oatmeal made w/ skim milk & banana
S1: iced skinny latte
S2: yogurt
L: egg salad
S: Better Balance protein pretzels
D: turkey, butternut squash gratin, grapefruit & avocado salad, cranberry sauce (made w/ Splenda)
S: Cranberry oatmeal cookie (made w/ Splenda)

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Dear Linda,

Congratulations on your accomplishment this past year!  200 pounds in almost unimaginable.  Quite a story for you, my friend.

Sorry I've been MIA.  Been concentrating on ........... me!  I needed to be distracted as food was getting to be all consuming again and that's simply not acceptable.  I changed my routine by keeping my hands busy with crochet projects.  Our Thanksgiving plans got cancelled today because hubby is sick.  So, we are home today and he is resting.  I'm going to clean and catch up on OFF.  I've missed so much.  I don't think I realized how long I was gone!  Take care dear lady.  You have so much to be thankful for and we are thankful for YOU.

B-AchievOne
S-yogurt
L- fish and veggies
S-??
D-?? I have to work this one out yet!

Hugs,

Good morning,

When I managed the group home, I always volunteered to work the holidays too. Being salaried meant no extra pay, but the residents liked having me there and my staff were happy to have time with their families. It was a good arrangement.

It is after 10 AM and I'm still in my jammies. After I put the baked zita in the oven I'll shower and make myself all presentable for the family gathering.

Mary and her husband are making most of the fixings but she requested "Mom Food" too.

Have a blessed day.

Extra kisses and love
