Most people (even the nice, well-meaning ones) are totally ignorant about life after WLS. When people ask me how I lost all that weight, I usually say, "Less food, more exercise", which is no lie. Maybe 20-30 yrs ago, I would've been willing to get into a confrontation with a stupid a**hole, but nowadays I just don't have the energy. So, I applaud you!

Wow! What a comeback! That was a great comeback for what was a most rude response to you.
What amazed me was that the man had the nerve to ask you how much weight you'd lost! I think that's a private matter and if you chose to share it with him on your own, that would be fine.
I know that I'll run into the same issues as I will lose 150 lbs by the time I'm done. Those I'm close to will know about the surgery, but the rest of the world will only know of the hours I'm putting in the gym and the way I've now chosen to eat, healthy!
