my fav song for Wedndesday is "Wednesday Lover" by Charlie Wilson.
Women are angels.
...and when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly...on a broomstick.

We are flexible.

that disn't come up on google and i went back pages and pages...hmmmm....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning Margo and OFFers!
Margo, so happy you are able to work more hours.  Too bad there are still no benefits.
Can't wait to get home this evening to finish packing.  On the road in the morning to spend Thanksgiving weekend holdup in a log cabin - two bedroom, den, and small kitchen - with 7 people!  It's supposed to be raining almost the entire time.  If you'd see the stuff we have packed and the list of last minute items we still need to pack, oh heck, maybe this was a bad idea.  We have clothes, food for 4 days, pots, pans, cutlery, bath linens, bed linens, fishing gear, decks of cards, games, soduko book, needlework, magazines...It would be so much easier to stay home and cook a full Thanksgiving dinner!  My mantra "It will work out, it will work out".

Anyway, I wanted to say have a Happy Thanksgiving to all  y'all!

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

I have to get going early today. Thanksgiving paper is an A.M. (morning) paper ... it's a biggie with all the ad inserts and usually makes us lots of money, which in these depressed times is what we need. So I have to be at work at 11:30 this morning. Today is also payday instead of Thursday, so I got to check on my half paycheck this morning, balance my checkbook.

I had a meltdown in my checkbook, all of my own doing of course, the past couple of weeks ... had to straighten things out. One of the casualties was my condo payment, and they sent me a letter asking for the full back payment because of the bounced check. So I called them yesterday and explained the problem. The woman laughed when I told her about the "meltdown" and said, "Oh, I have those too." I told her I would send the next payment with the fee and when, and she said that was fine, she wasn't really expecting the whole lump sum. So I felt better then.

Stopped at the vet's on the way into work yesterday and spent nearly $16 on a 4 lb. bag on bland food diet cat food ... we're going to try this on the cats to see if it will work to stop Diva from pooping in the wrong places. Also, locking her out of the front bedroom at night and during the day when I'm not here. Although that front bedroom was awfully cold this morning. Brrrr! I mean, there's heat in the house, but closing it off makes it circulate less. She did go in the little litter box, but it was awfully loose. (Sorry for the poop stories ... I'm very worried about her ... she doesn't act sick, though ... she's just as nutty as usual and isn't losing weight.)

Margo, glad for your additional hours, of course, hope benefits come soon.

Well, I should go get dressed and get ready for work. The good thing about this is I'll be done early (about 7 p.m. or so). Have a good day.

Hello Margo et al
I'm glad to hear that you're getting more hours and you'll have more money.  I was in a really difficult financial position and I always believed that the money would surface somehow for me to get through, and it did.  I hope that it does the same for you.

I saw the orthopedic surgeon yesterday for my shoulder and he said that I may have a torn rotator cuff, which will require surgery.  I'll have an MRI first to see the damage.  Luckily, the MRI and all other health-related tests don't cost me, or anyone, anything.  I've had a ct scan, multiple x-rays, colonoscopy, mammogram, and all kinds of blood tests since August and have had to pay nothing.  (I had a physical with my PCP and he decided that I should have some tests!!)  Anyway, I think I would have had to take out a loan to pay for all the tests if they weren't paid for by our provincial health plan.
Gotta go out into the cold.  I hope everyone has a happy, safe Thanksgiving.   Margaret

Good Morning Margo and my OFF family,

Margo, Congrats on the increase in hours.  Maybe benefits will come!

We are going to my cousin's house at Wrightsville Beach for Thanksgiving.  I will be cooking veggies and bringing a couple of cakes.  Mom is going with us since we are only going for the day.
Most of my siblings live out of town and are not going to make it for the weekend.

We got the PET scan done on mom yesterday but have to wait until Dec 2nd to get the results.  I have my fingers crossed.

I am hanging in there, don't feel like I am losing because I am not really concentrating on me at all!!!  So many other things on my mind that I can't seem to focus on me. I am still trying to eat properly, but I don't think I am eating enough right now.  I think I am eating to fast and getting foamies then chucking.  Of course then I don't want to eat anything.  Oh well this too shall pass.

Ya'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don't forget to remember what we all have to be thankful for.

Hugs,
Vera  LapBand 8/12/2008
