Wednesday...by the Drive -By Truckers...what's new?

it has been very hard to find a wednesday song- wednesday morning 3 am by simon and garfunkel, jimmy eats world did wednesday...Prince did one called wednesday tho there is discrepancy on the title...anywho!!!!


i have a what's new then i am going back to bed...

yesterday i went to work at 715 to make up for missing monday- well i'll repeat today too to make it up -anyhow- got an email from super to call first and come up when another gal and i could both talk to him--about more hours!!!! whoo hoooooo starting monday next week we go to 27.5 for two weeks then back to 35!!! this is happening cuz one person left which i didn't knwo cuz i missed monday...so at the expense of another employee we are getting the hours....i'll take em!!!! super said out right he is not replacing the other employee.....

still no bennies no vacation nothing but sick time but i'll take it -still hat ethe job but they pay me and i'll do it....

it buys michael and i some time before we crash totally under the mortgage car payment utilities crunch....

so, of course, i said a thank you prayer to God right there on the spot!

so...talk amongst yourselves and have a great wednesday.....

Hi Margo and Friends,

This says it's a 12 pt but it sure looks big on my computer! Sorry I've been so AWOL lately just life getting in the way of my computer time. When I get up in the middle of the night as I still do I've been taking a box and unpacking it and trying to find a logical place to put the contents.

We have company arriving tomorrow and our son, Nathan, later today. Grocery shopping is done so today will be completing as many of the dinner recipes as possible ahead of time. I do not visit and cook well. Something suffers and it is usually the cooking. I'll leave out something or forget something in the oven or microwave. Just remembered! Haven't bought any yams yet and we love those yams. Guess I will go back to the store one more time.

I still really enjoy cooking especially when I have a group of hungries to feed. And. . . keep your fingers crossed for me. To make a long story short IF the son in law's' football team wins their semi final game on Friday they (Erin and family NOT the football team) will be coming over here right after the game to spend the night so that son in law, Josh, can drive 3 MORE hours to film his competition for the next week! Yes, I care about the game but even more that I'll get squeeze on little twin thighs that I didn't think I'd get to see until Christmas! Wow, doubt if anyone understands that mess.

Gotta try to get a bit more sleep as the next few days will be hectic. It's around freezing, foggy, wintery here. Lovin' the gas fireplace. Just the flick of a switch and it's cozy and toasty. I loved heating with wood, but this is sure easy and clean. We'll see what I think when I see the gas bill! You all take care.

Good morning Margo so glad that you are getting more hours. the extra money always helps ..the new programs with refinancing , would that help you any? ask your morgage lender. hope you can find something that will help...

Karen lol completly understand about having to have a fix, a baby fix that is...just something about them isnt there. I feel that way about my one great grand daughter . she and i have a special connection, she sees me and it is run to mimi and hugs and kisses and i wuv oooos...

have you got new pictures of your new house? that sounds like such fun a new home....and the gas fireplace...dreams...

Joe had surgery on his cervical spine they too out C2 c3 and c4 disc. they were slipping over and pressing against his spinal cord causing him to have almost total numbness to both arms and hands. and decreased strength .....surgery was friday they sent him home saturday, he is having some swelling but seems to be coming along ok.....

what happened to Nathans girlfriend. are they still a couple i know you had such high hope for them....well got to go and do some more prep work for tomorrow.

The cute redheaded girl is still in the picture. Nate reminds me so much of Charlie Brown in words and actions. And. . . remember Charlie always pining over that cute redheaded girl? Kristin will be here on Friday coming over with a friend of Nate's as there is a wedding here on Saturday of one of Nate's best friends. We'll have an overflow crowd here for a couple of days. I'm hoping to used up most of the leftovers!

I understand completely!  We've be spending the next few days in a log cabin on the lake where we fish.  Kids and grandkids will be cooped up.  We were hoping to get in some fishing, but it looks like we'll have rain the entire time - DARN.  Daughter and I are packing a few board games (maybe that should be bored games in case we get bored), card games for the grandsons, chalk to draw on the cement patio, markers...  Dang, by the time we pack everything, we might as well have hitched the house to the back of the truck.

Get 6 die.... google Farkle and download a scorepad...and the rules.  It's a mindless dice game that will keep you occupied for hours.  I carry it in my fanny pack now and play anytime I have to sit.  There's a whole bunch of us at $4 that play in the evenings.

Morning all.  Just a quick stop in.

My son called and decided he wants his dachshund back afterall.  Not exactly what I wanted to hear.  So, to ease the pain for Mary, I agreed to getting another dog.  We are going to rescue another greyhound.  We will meet him and decide on Friday.  So, I will have almost 200 lbs of dog at the house.

Just a quick "Drive-by" from me down here in Florida to say hi to you all as today I am heading out to do the TG food shop for my daughter and then coming home and hanging with the grands for the day, let's see what trouble dear old grand can get them in . . .  I will be getting myself to the gym at some point, as this WLS journey does not take a vacation. . .  my younger daughter will be coming over when she finishes at work and then I'm going to take the family out for dinner this evening.

Yesterday I saw my old bf of over 25 years ago, we looked at old photos and reminisced, as well as looked at pictures of his family and mine, had lunch and then said our goodbyes, it was nice to see him.

margo i am sooo happy that you got more hours!!!!! just wish you could get some bennies ya know....sighs....

not much to talk about today as i posted late yesterday on my whats new with me here...haven't heard anything on the ex yet...wondering if they had to do some cauterization on the blood vessels before the surgery today...will call for an update after 9 pm tonight and see what is going on with him.

rick asked me last night if i wanted john to come over for turkey dinner...i told him it was up to him...he said he would think about it...can't take much of john and his moods...he is a strange one thats for sure...BUT he is listening to me and trying harder to be more of a NORMAL person...he keeps saying he is a musician and has to act like that...i told him NO you do NOT have to be a jerk!!! especially around your friends!!!! so he is trying....

didn't get any snow overnight...still calling for maybe 1-3 today and 2-5 tonight...yeah like i said i will believe that when i see it....lol

gave erie some of my christmas cookies i made...he said yesterday morning that they were good. made me feel good to hear that!! now i need to get some dates and walnuts to make my date cookies. actually my moms recipe for those. i also would like to make some no bake cookies. rick loves those!!!

last night we had the radio on after the show fringe was over with. they are playing christmas music all the time now. heard all i want for christmas is you...rick grabbed me and said he has me now and i have him so our christmas is now complete...except for the gifts...awwwww isn't he sweet?? oh yeah he is!!!!!! i love him so much!!! still need to get something for the baby and rick. he was talking about shopping this weekend...omg no way do i want to go out this weekend!!!! way to busy at the stores for me!!! he said wheres the christmas spirit? lol like he doesn't get pissed with all the people in his way...lol (i do need to get my ornament picked out and mailed to my person that i have!!)

took bandit out last night and man i got so chilled to the bone i had to take a hot shower to get warmed up again!! BRRRRRRRR that wind sure is cold when it blows!!! we had some gusts over 30 mph and let me tell you that is cold here!!!!  right now its 40 wind chill is 30...still is cold!!! i hate this cold!!!

Good morning Margo and everyone....

Margo...I am so happy to hear that you will be getting more hours at work again. What a blessing!!

I am going to try and relax today as I have a very full next few days.
Tonight I am going to a customer appreciation dinner and dance at my favorite bar....feels like "Cheers"...it is such a great place to go and be with great friends.
Tomorrow of course is turkey day and Dwayne and I will be with a few good friends for the day. In the evening his daughter, hubby, and granddaughter will be arriving for the Saturday get together.
Saturday is Dwayne's family Thanksgiving.....that is why I need a good sweet potato recipe.  I posted about that.
Sunday will be the Vikings game with more friends.
This weekend will fly by!!

I wish I could be with my children but it isn't working out this time. Like I said we will all be together on Dec. 2nd...I can't wait!!!

I have two phone calls to make for my job this morning then the phone and my work computer get shut down until Monday!!

For those of you traveling this holiday please be careful driving, flying, or whatever. I wish you a safe trip. Have a great Thanksgiving!!
