Sugery Update

Posting for my DW RaeAnn. What along day for me . Checked in for surgery at 8:30 and RaeAnn got back to her room at 4:00pm. Surgery took longer then we were told by 1 1/2 hours however everything went well. She is in a lot of pain but taking her drugs and helping to get the pain under control . I would like to take this time to thank each and every one on this board for your help and information as well as your inspiration, it has meant a lot to both of us. More up dates will come as they are available . Thanks again.

thanks for the update....so glad that she is doing well. the pain will decrease daily....tell her that the board is rooting for her...has she been up to walk yet?

They will have her up walking this am after they do another "leak test" .

Well, I'll say this 'pops'.  By the look of that picture, she sure picked a 'boy toy'.

I think someone is "JELOUS "!  LOL  Actually that is a picture of our pride and joy, the first grandson.

Thanks so much for the update. She is in such great hands at Sacred Heart. My dad spent a long week there some years ago. The hospital treated the whole family with such care and kindness. What a wonderful Thanksgiving gift to you both. By spring you'll be just amazed at the things RaeAnn can do again. She'll be happier and healthier than she has been in years and the two of you will be able to get out and enjoy life so much more. I thought I was "living" before I had surgery almost 4 years ago. However, it was more of an existance; jus****ching others live life and it wasn't much fun. Now I'm out there going and doing. Hugs to RaeAnn and you!
