Plastic Surgery Update
I am just checking in after having an extreme make-over last Friday (10 hours of plastics). This phase I of II included brachioplasty, breast lift with implants "C" cup, lower neck and face lift. Dr. Katzen was my surgeon and is wonderful. I recovered my first night with my husband at Rose's Retreat where Florence Nightengale took care of me in Laguna Beach. The only real pain I'm having is my ears, making me imagine that I've been a prize fighter with cauliflower ears sometime in my life. Meds help a lot and I really don't feel too bad except for about an hour before I'm ready to take them again. I'm already planning on my lower body lift, but the top bothered me much more and I took the advise of my friend suggested I do what really bothers me the most just in case I don't do the whole thing.
My arms and breasts look wonderful. I can't remember when the boobs didn't resemble the notorious tube socks and my arms were thin but I had this awful looking 90 year old skin hanging.
It's good to be home and I'm so thankful that I was able to schedule my surgery for this short work week to minimize my time off, since this is my 3rd surgery in 13 months with another that I want to have about March or April.
It brings me comfort know so many people are out there in cyberland offering support and positive thoughts and prayers. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have our lives to be thankful for wherever we are on this journey. One lady that spoke at Dr. Katzen's seminar said it best: "Bariatric Surgery made me feel Human again; Reconstructive Surgery made me feel Female again". Although it's been fun purchasing size 8 clothes, I can't wait to go shopping when I don't have to think about covering up all my defects.
