Hey!! Hello!! Happy (Goodbye Ruby) Tuesday to you

I guess that I'm the first one here, so I thought I'd keep with the song theme that George started yesterday. 
You may not see me often, but I am here reading every day. I seldom post because a) as soon as I get up, I leave to get to my job and don't have time to post and b) I haven't had surgery yet and I don't want to bore all of you to tears with my whining about my issues regarding getting approved for surgery and c)  I have a very boring life.  (just now I've read this and wondered -  who would want to read this???  _  but I'm going to keep going.)
I'm off to see an orthopedic surgeon today to see if I need surgery on my right shoulder that I hurt in a fall in front of 40 students that I happened to be teaching at the time.  My shoulder has come out of the socket since the fall and my PCP thinks that I need to have surgery.  I'm hoping not because the only surgery that I want to see in my future in the vsg. 
I also see my therapist today who has helped me work through a few of life's challenges.  I went to him with a list of things that I needed to talk about because they kept resurfacing in my life.  I've seen him less than 6 times since August and my life is so much better!!  If only I could carry him around in my pocket so that he could remind me of the progress that I made! 
Other than that, I am working on putting together tests/exams as the semester ends next week.  I'm not off wor****il close to the 25th of December, but life if so less hectic when I am not teaching, preparing and marking all the time.  It will seem like a vacation after the semester is over and before Christmas vacation begins.
Well, enough of my boring life.  I hope to see Brenda back soon.  I always enjoy her posts.

Don't you ever feel you bore us.  We are your friends/family. Also, quite frankly, anyone who is bored can just go to the next post.  I babble on at times myself. 

Glad the therapist is working out for you.

I was actually thinking of starting the thread the way I did a few months ago.  If this is Tuesday, this must be OFF (If this is Tuesday, it must be Belgium - remember?)

its 2:48 and im awake, sigh, cause i slept on the couch all evening.  so here i am with my friends from OFF posting when i should be getting some more zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

well we head off for some turkey travel today, cant wait to see my son.  hope the trip goes well and we dont run into too much traffic along the way

hope all goes well and you dont need that surgery, and hey posting is good for you, you dont bore us, we all need to support one another.

traveling from New Jersey to Charlotte, NC, and i just checked the weather, and it looks like it will be a little warmer there than NJ has been lately

I'm down here in Florida now, but on Friday when I travelled to NC (Mooresville),  to visit with my aunt and uncle there, I made great time until I crossed into VA, on 81, where I encountered a 3 hour traffic jam and detour, thankfully I had my handy GPS, which made me feel better navigating where I'd never been before ;), The temps on Friday and Saturday were in the 20s, brrrrrrrr, though on Sunday the temps had warmed and I think they were going to be in the 40s for the TG holiday, so have a safe trip and a Happy Thanksgiving!

It's 3:16 a.m. and I have to be up at 6 and so far no sleep wish I could figure out why I haven't been able to sleep for the last few weeks.

Don't worry about boring us, we have all been in the same boat at one time or another with our life.  Problems of getting approved, waiting for surgery date and then the concerns afterwards.  That is why this board is here.

I sure hope you get good news about your shoulder.  Those orthopedic doc can do amazing things these days. 

I only saw my therapist 4 times and she helped me tremendously with some issues that at the time, I didn't realized how it was affecting my weight gain.

Right now I am having problems getting back on track , I hap lap band surgery but had to have all the fluid taken out of my band so I have no restriction.   Two weeks ago he put in 2`cc's but I can't even tell it.  I have a daughter that brings all kinds of junk food in the house.  Guess I will have to sit down with my family and ask them to stop doing that maybe I can use the rationale .........if I had a drinking problem I don't think they would bring alchohol in and leave it in front of me so .........I am feeling like they know I have an eating problems and they should not be the chips, cookies, etc in the house and leave it out on the counter for me. Last two nights it has been chips and salsa from Carlos O'Kelleys. Right now my will power is gone............I did call my surgeon and ask for another fill he can get me in next Tuesday.

Thanks for starting the thread. Don't think you are boring us. We like to hear about each other.

Just before noom, the Psychologist called to postpone his guest appearance at the support group. No way can I make the necessary phone calls but I sent out e-mails. Then we got hit with SNOW. To make the night more exciting, there was a big accident at the entrance to the hospital where we meet. I didn't think anybody would come. Ha - the turn out was great. Guess I need to stop being such a worry wart.

Annie   keeps trying to type. That's my clue to sign off for this morning.

Hi Margaret and All,

Can't sleep. it's 13 degrees out with wind. The dogs didn't want to go out today because of the raw wind. It's supposed to get up in the 30s this after noon. Thankgiving is suppose to be beautiful.

We are having two Thanksgivings--One with Grandma who is 104 years old and one later on that day. Going to be eating fine on Thursday. I am cooking the turkey, sweet potatoes, and corn. Then we pack it all up and head to my Ex  sister-in-laws house. I am on great terms with my Ex and his family. (It's good for my son.)

I am also waiting for surgery approval. I have about two months left. I do not do the waiting game very well. I don't know how many times I have talked myself out of having the surgery. When times get rough I just come onto this board and I find my will to become a better me again. I thank God every day that I found this forum. I am so grateful for the people here. They make you feel right at home and comfortable. Write as much as you need to.

Well, I am back.  A little tired now.  Six hours sleep in two days.  Today I hope to get 6 hours.  Then again, I hope to wake up after 6 hours.  Mary is working, so I will set my cell phone alarm.  And my radio alarm.  The phone will have to leave the room so I can sleep.  Not much else going on.  Tonight I will be working both jobs.  Guess I will get back to my reading.
