MONDAY, MONDAY - Can't trust that day. What's new with you?
Good Morning George and Everyone........
Yup...it is Monday....wow....it is crazy busy.....so many phone calls and emails for my job to catch up on!! I am looking forward to having Thursday-Sunday off....wooohooo!!
Talked to my daughters and grandchildren this weekend. They are all so busy too. Wish I could be with them Thurday but it just isn't going to work out this year. We will all be together Dec. 2nd as Nic will be up at Minneapolis Childrens Hospital for a couple days of testing. We are all getting together for dinner that evening....I miss them all so much!! I will definately be joining them for the Christmas season!!
I am enjoying my relationship with my guy, Dwayne....we are so comfortable with each other. I guess that is because we have known each other for so many years. We are trying to take this slow...both of us have been hurt so many times in the past. He is such a romantic guy....so caring and loving. I am scared to death!!!
Another girlfriend and I took my best friend Pam out for her birthday dinner last night. Pam's birthday is actually on Thanksgiving but because of the holiday and other commitments we needed to do it early. Pam is my dearest and greatest friend....I adore her. I can't imagine going through my life without her in it.
Enough rambling out of me...have a beautiful day everyone..blessings to all.
Love and hugs......connie d

Thank-You George I think of that crazy song every monday..And I always think of Chuck saying"anyone who takes 8 pills a day should just die" I take 15 pills on Monday ( 8 methotrexate once a week) Well my boss is down to only 3 days left. Today we are having a going away pot luck for her, it starts in 25 minutes and the smells drifting in here are fannnntasssstic. Yesterdya we had a fun pot luck at church. I fasted all day so Icould eat some goodies. So funny how that back fires, if Idon't eat then when it is time I can't eat but a few bites.but that is good too, then I don't over eat. But I sure am hungry today. My house inspection was suppose to be this morninat 9:30. I didn't have to be there. Don't know why but I am so nervous about it. Guess it is just the word" Inspection" and years in the military, inspections always meant a royal a** chewing no matter how hard you tried. Well my house is all spic & span for Thanksgiving. Chuck was a jerk this weekend, nothing new there. So I just walked away and didn't answer his calls. I don't have to. IAM the boss of my own life,( sounds good anyway) gotta run and eat some good stuff.

Hi George and my OFF family:
Oh yeah, that song is already going through my head.
I have been running around all day. Had an appointment with Ortho Doc No. 3, then with my psychologist; in between I did a little shopping, then met with Mary Kay for lunch, then a little more shopping just to kill some time, now I'm at work early because I couldn't kill any more time.
Ortho Doc. No. 3 told me that he thinks my posterior collateral ligament and my medial collateral ligament (the ligaments down the back and along the side of the knee, respectively) were damaged and that is leading to my instability and pain. These were things I wanted to ask No. 2 the last time but I was too angry to ... and sometimes I just don't think of these things. I also asked about success rates ... first-time knee replacements are 90 percent; revisions are 80 percent; revisions for instability are 70 percent. I just hope I don't fall in the 30 percent failure category. I like No. 3 the best of all the docs there ... he actually doesn't talk down to me and listens a little better.
For once, I got out of there early and I went to the store I've been wanting to go ... Fresh Market ... neat grocery store but expensive. Got some guacamole and almond butter. Was looking for almond flour, still haven't found it but know where to find it online at least. The almond butter was fresh-ground. They had lots of samples ... hot mulled cider (very good) fresh squeezed orange and pineapple juice, coffees. It was really good and smelled so good in there. But it's a ways from my house. Then to Target; got Faith Hill's Christmas CD for my brother Gary for Christmas ... made him some kahlua too and will give him a photo of me and him from the cruise in a frame as well. Also got a pair of gloves because I lost my nice warm ones from Lands' End.
Mary Kay and I had a nice lunch at Applebee's before she heads south for the winter in Baton Rouge ... I'm going to miss her. Her family all lives down there now, so she's going to "winter" there and maybe even eventually move down there permanently. She is renting an apartment there this year.
Then I went over to Meijer; bought a baby gift for a fellow copy editor, some pumpkin for Diva to see if that makes any difference in her bowel habits (along with some canned cat food) and a pizza cutter (it was on sale and mine doesn't cut very well anymore). The poor girl at the register was being hassled by someone who wanted a raincheck for something that wasn't in the sale paper; I felt sorry for her and also wanted to tell her about weight-loss surgery ... she reminded me of me when I was younger.
We had our first "big" snow today, although it wasn't that big, just messy ... about an inch of big wet flakes that got slushy and made travel a little hazardous while it was coming down. But it's just a light snow now.
Not much happening with work right now. Lots of people cleaning out desks to get ready for the renovation of the newsroom for the new copy desk. My boss told me not to worry about my desk because this side of the newsroom is OK. I may clean out things I don't really need. I'm not really much of a pack rat at work anyway, unlike others here.
Have a good day.
