WHAT ARE YOU PREPARING FOR THANKSGIVING?
only thing i am making for thanksgiving is the stuffing!!! rick wanted to use stove top and i said no way!!! he is making the turkey, potatoes and maybe the pie not sure if we will get the one from BJ's or not yet...we have veggies also to go with dinner...rolls?? not sure we need those...nah...all i know is its gonna be a wonderful holiday!!!! his friend john might join us for dinner not sure yet...

There will be 30 of us this year. . This sounds like a lot of work, but I am only responsible for the turkey, potatoes, gravy, rolls, appetizers and mousse.
We will have brined, roasted turkey (Alton Brown recipe - done in 2 hours!)
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Gravy
Sweet potatoes
Green bean casserole
broccoli raisin salad
Spring greens with dried cranberries, almonds and madarin oranges with an oriental peanut salad dressing
home made whole wheat rolls
orange cranberry sauce
a variety of appetizers
pumpkin pie
pecan pie
sf/ff pumpkin mousse (or "mouse" and some of the young kids call it!)

It's just DH and I, no more dysfunctional family left! I bought a small Honey Baked ham and one of his venders gives us a smoked turkey every year. I'll fix mashed sweet potatoes with no added sugar, brocolli and wild rice cassarole, steamed carrots, corn on the cob, cornbread dressing and jellied cranberry sauce. I have some spiced apples for dessert. We decided no rolls this year, too hard to have just one! Some of the leftovers will go with DH as lunches. I'll seal single servings for lunches at home.
