My mom is cooking but she only cooks what she wants to eat, and she hates veggies....so I am bringing the Mashed taters and peas (for Glenn), corn for Sam, roasted broccoli and SF FF peanut butter pie for me.  Oh and the gravy.

I'm going to my sister's and taking my low sugar/low fat orange chiffon pie, and a fresh cranberry fruit salad  and if I get the time to make them, some of the spiced nuts.

We are going to my sisters. I will take-green bean casserole, dressing. deviled eggs, and pecan pie. Its what I take every year. Last year we went to Texas for Thanksgiving. I guess my nephew told him mom that the green beans weren't right. I don't know how she could have screwed those up! She'll do the turkey, cook the potatoes, make salad of somekind and pies. But I have to make the gravy when I get there, and usually mash the potatoes, she has a tendency to get them too runny. But we all manage to eat too much. But NEXT year I won't.

We are eating at my daughter's house.  I will be there at 7AM to cook the turkey.  I will also be preparing ham and mashed turnips.  Mary is making a few pies plus probably a Pumpkin Mousse that one of the women on the TMB gave us a recipe for.  Good stuff.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I'm going to my Sister's. She's had RNY so she's cooking healthy. Her children/grandkids don't even know the difference. I will be making some Sugar Free/Fat Free desserts to take. So I've got a few planned. Banana pudding, brownies, a fluff probabaly lime they all like that flavor and maybe a sweet potato pie. I have a little assortment so everyone will like something. I may have to make my chocolate cake the regular way for them. They are so used to having it. All from scratch. That good cooked icing with the powder sugar. I know I won't be eating that, it would be dump city for me and my sister. I'm sure we will have a great time the whole family will be there. My sister is used to cooking for an army. She feeds everyone.  I hope everyone has a great Turkey Day.   Teresa M.

Hi and thanks for responding....

spoke with my son last nite and he said he would prefer the ff/sf foods..wow! I'm only going to make a small amt of the "regular" foods...one of my daughters doesn't eat or serve any artificial ingred to her family. They may be hungry after cuz I'm not "going all out" this yr. I'll send the higher fat/sugar laden foods home with my other daughter when they leave.

Liked all your ideas on what you serve. I'm so liking that pumpkin fluff stuff that I'm anxious to make it again.
I'm going to have to try to sneak in some protein powder
some other time when I have more time to experiment.

Happy Thanksgiving All!

There will only be 4 of us so I am cooking a small ham and a turkey breast.  My son wants Mac and cheese so I will do that.  I will make a pumpkin pie with splenda and fat free evap. milk.  I will make a regular pumpkin pie for my son and have him take it home.  I don't know what veggies and/or salad I'll fix.  Something green.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

It really is good.  If I want to be really good I bake the filling in ramekins sprayed with Pam and bake them in a roasting pan with water about halfway up the cup at 350 degrees.  Still feels like I am eating pumpkin pie with out all the fat that is in crust.  My crust isn't great anyway so I don't miss it.  Since I am at my sisters house I don't have ramekins and I don't want to buy  them because they would never be used again.  She rarely cooks.l
