If you've had surgery - when and what type ?RNY 11-17-08
If you lost as much as you hoped/planned/ wished for ? I am worried that I don't seem to be losing weight. I am hardly eating but I still weigh more than I did day of surgery.
If you are pre op have you had to or did you lose any in preparation ? I lost 15 pounds on a two week liquid diet that I did immediately before surgery.

I have been happily married for almost 30 years---to the same guy!
Do you have children ? if so - how many, how old ?I have two children. My daughter is 26, married, teaches the 4th grade and lives in Naperville, IL. That is 8 hours by car away from me. She has a dog and a cat. My son is 23 and still in college. He seems to be on the 6 year plan. He goes to University of MO so he is about 1.5 hrs away from me.
Do you have pets? if so- how many, how old ?I have two 6 year old black labs. Any one read Marley and me? Theya re incorrigable. I also have a 11 year old cat that just turns his nose up at the dogs.
Do you work outside your home , retired , in between ?I work full time as an ICU nurse.
What's you favorite type of music, movies, books?I love almost all books. I especially like historical fiction and thrillers. I like romantic comedies for movies and all kinds of music.
What do you enjoy in your free time ? I like to cook (great), knit, camp, home improvement and read.
Do you live in the same community you were born, raised in ? I moved all of 10 minutes away to the next suburb.
What part of the U.S are you in now ? ( just city and state )Blue Springs, Missouri
What are you paying for a gallon of gas , a gallon of 1% milk, a lb. of bananas this week ?Gas is all the way down to $1.50 per gallon. haven't bought milk or banans as I am still on liquids.
Got a favorite flower, color, flavor, scent ?I love gerberer daisies, the color red/pink, I love mexican food and the scent of spring.

If you lost as much as you hoped/planned/ wished for ? Yup, lost 180 pounds ... half of my body weight. I was nearly 350 pounds when I started this journey; I'm down to 170 (more or less ... it bounces up and down, I try to keep it at 170 ... would like to get it down a little more, maybe 160)

If you lost as much as you hoped/planned/ wished for ? I've lost about 120 lbs. - I would love to lose 30 more, but I'm very happy with this.

Do you have pets? Dog- Darla is 14 years old, Cats- Cleopatra (14), Chloe (10), Jinx (9), Lucy (8). (I'm an easy target for strays).
Do you work outside your home , retired , in between ? I have been working as a speech therapist in public schools for 30 years. I will retire when I'm 62 (8 more years) unless I get an offer that I can't refuse!
What's you favorite type of music, movies, books? I love thought-provoking books, usually critically acclaimed because I hate wasting time reading fluff- same with movies. I love most types of music.
What do you enjoy in your free time ? Reading, jewelry making and scrapbooking
Do you live in the same community you were born, raised in ? I am an hour away from my hometown.

What are you paying for a gallon of gas , a gallon of 1% milk, a lb. of bananas this week ? Gas is 1.82 today. I haven't really paid attention to grocery prices, just know they are higher than 6 months ago.
