WELL at about 4pm tonight I got the kitties, after spending a small fortune getting food, beds, collars, etc for them.  Got them home, got the room all set up so Angus and Daphne can't get into it, beds out, food and water set out a few toys strategically placed and opened the cardboard carrier they came in.  And immediately got hissed and growled at.!!!  So I gently turned the box over to it's side so they coud get out.  and left them alone after a few minutes of computer time.  Check in periodically and the black one seems to be edging towards the opening.  come back an hour or so later and NO KITTIES!  WTH?  Where did they go?  I tear the room apart, nope. Go into the spare bedroom-NOPE. even check out my bedroom that is closed up-NOPE.  Now there are 2 dogs here, wouldn't you think THEY could tell me where the kitties are?   NO. They are beagle, lab/hound mix for heavens sake!  I feel myself being shot down in Planned Pethood as the adopter that lost her kittens in 2 hours of getting them home.  I searched several times.  HMMMMMMMM
Finally found them.  WAY back in the printer stand on some paper looking at me.  Door to room gets closed NOW.  LOL!
They have everything they need in here. Angus of course smells their FOOD and wants it, but couldn't help fine the kittens?  HA~

When I got my first two kitties, Kittle and Cinnamon, Cinnamon was so scared of me (his first contact with humans was the little terrorist child next door, who used to take the kittens up to the top of the deck and let them fly, to see if they'd land on their feet). I brought Kittle and Cinnamon home, and Kittle was friendly enough, but I couldn't find Cinnamon ... thought maybe he'd gotten downstairs (hard to find a black kitty in a pitch-black basement. Finally found him ... he was hiding behind and inside the stove ... I had an electric stove where you store the pots and pans inside the broiler area ... he had crawled inside there ... he came out when I went to bed and curled up next to me and licked my face all night long. He felt I was safe then, I couldn't hurt him if I was lying down.

Debbie,

What a homecoming. Poor furbabies must have been terrified, you also. They will adapt. Keep us updated.

PS ~ Angus will always want their food.
