What's new Friday? I'm NEVER up this time of day!
Gee, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who can't sleep.....actually, I did get in 7 hrs.....fell asleep before 10 and woke up at 4:45 a.m., so that was normal for me.
Checked on my bank deposit and balanced the checkbook after my little shopping excursion at Shipshewana ......splurged on a new pair of SAS shoes....tired of wearing the same ones every day....these are a dark brown/burgundy color and should go nicely with most everything. I also found the DMC floss colors I needed (no one in Sturgis sells floss anymore since Walmart discontinued selling it)....it's been a while since I bought any and it was 49 Cents a skein at Yoders.....yikes, I think I paid a quarter last time I bought any. Went to E & S Sales (bulk food store) and got 5 lbs of pecan halves for $6.69/lb. That was the cheapest I could find....they're $8/lb. here in town. Making spiced nuts for Christmas gifts.....and if I don't use them all for that, they keep wonderfully in the freezer.
The lakeshore counties in Michigan are supposed to get hit with a lot of snow .... up to a foot, so they say....thankfully I am far enough inland that we should be ok....check outside this morning and there is no snow on the ground .....YET!
Tomorrow my sis and I are going to yet another craft bazaar, this time in Goshen, Ind. ....from there we will go to Elkhart and possibly over to Mishawaka/South Bend. I am going to look for a coat, and maybe pick up some things for my DS and DIL for Christmas....DIL wants new downhill skis ($1200) but she'll only get $$ toward them from this MIL. Have no idea what DS wants.
Well, guess I better get in the shower....have a blessed day all.

Good morning dear friends! It's 6am and I'm up which is unusual but hubby was snoring and I kicked him numerous times but he wouldn't stop so I just got up! Well then when I got out of bed, it woke him up and he got up too..
I'm only working until 12:30 today then taking my 2 daughters in law to the beach for the weekend. NO MEN AND NO KIDS!!
It will be cold be we don't care. Just a weekend of reading,
napping, and watching movies. We may get in a little shopping at the outlet stores. Just a little lol

Good Morning to everyone
My DH and I leave Florida today for home- time to get back to work. I have been ready to go back for a few days now - two weeks is too long for me on holidays.
Get my date next tuesday when I meet with the surgeon. Pretty sure it will be April 1st ( dont care if it is April Fools day - I am so ready) I feel like I am in limbo - want to start living.

Seems the pet issue is a recurring one today. Our old dog has decided that 4:30 is about as long as he can go and needs to be let out. Can't go all night anymore, but who can? So, we've been up, dogs fed, latte steaming here on my desk. Life is good.
Yesterday I did some errands and went grocery shopping. You all inspired me to get out and get it done early, so thank you very much!!! I proudly walked right pass the bag of gingersnap cookies and the bars of Dove Dark Chocolate. It wasn't easy, but between staying away from them and pushing the water really hard I'm back down to 123.5 today. So, maybe it was water gain, but whatever it was I didn't want a trend starting!
Gary had his one year review and evaluation about three weeks ago. Before checking in here I went to the bank's site to check and see how much of a raise he got. Well....that Prada bag I was looking at will just have to wait (sigh), his raise was $9.75. That doesn't even cover the turkey breast I bought for Thanksgiving. Oh well, Prada really isn't my thing, nor ever will be, apparently!
Guess I'd better be moving along. Hope everyone has a great Friday. Since I work on Saturday it's my Thursday, so don't you guys go whooping it up too loudly around me, okay???

Wow you guys are sleepless I guess! I just got to work, boss isn't here yet, but thought I would check in.
Not much new to say except that the number of beings in my house will increase today by 2. Nope, not 2 dogs, and not 2 people. I am adopting 2 kittens! I really miss my cat, and while these will never be her, they needed a home patience, and love to bloom into what could be wonderful little cats! (keeping my fingers crossed anyway!)
I'm sipping my $4 Chai, got a coffee for my boss too, we have our monthly departmental meeting (just her and I in the department!) at 8 and she likes $4 coffee. I must admit it smells good.

I see a lot happening on our board today.
A gtg being planned for the mid-west... and I'll bet there will be a few more before year's end. Always good when our Sistahs plan something somewhere. We are all so scattered that at least someone can meet a Sistah somewhere and have a good time.
Animals seem to be a topic.... aren't they always... that, or husbands!! I have neither....
Food is always a good or BAD topic depending on which side of the addiction we are on. I'm on the BAD side right now.
Clothes and shopping are always a good topic. Some of us haven't learned the art of trading addictions yet. Unfortunately, I have.... my closet runneth over. I did try on a few clothes at Macy's yesterday but my body hasn't settled down. I am now just droopy drawers in my old pants. I did look at a little black dress.... $110 before sale price. I may... I MAY.... I MAY
Thanksgiving is always a good topic. This time of year. I bought a pre-cooked turkey but now that it's just Mike and me, we'll go to Luby's. Called my sister and invited her but she had already accepted an invitation. I may just blow my whole budget and take Mike to the Gaylord for dinner. THOUSAND times more food than we need to eat.. or go to The Mansion... it's a 5 star... seems like such a waste for someone that can't eat much...
Since our family has decided NOT to have Christmas together this year until December 27.... and Mike is by himself... I'm not putting up any decorations... but instead going to book a room at the Renaissance over by my office. I have to work on the 26th anyway...so think I'll book for Christmas Eve (I can go ahead and work late) and then I'm sure the hotel staff will be doing special things for Christmas since it's a slow time and they'll want their guests to have a nice day.... I can leave early on the 26th from work, go shopping for after Christmas bargains and have presents to take somewhere on the 27th. First time we've not been together on Christmas. CRUISE NEXT YEAR!!! I'm taking the week between Christmas and New Years...

Found out the problem with my mouth is an abcess. Can I get IN to see the dentist?... NO.. he's closed on Friday.... Can I get an appointment with MY PCP? NO.... he's booked. I have antibiotics... and Lortab... I'm good.
Drains are out. I can almost be normal. Binder... binder... binder... I did stop at Macy's and pick up a panty one with hook and eyes.. $34... I bought one.. would have liked to have bought 1/2 of one...:)
Going to try to wedge myself in my jeans today because I bought a really pretty sweater at the end of the season last year and the temps are in the 30's this morning... heading for $4...

Just a note before I go to work.
It is sunny and very cold here about 40 right now. I am freezing.
The Midwest gettogether I am talking about having with Brenda is going to be around Chesterton Indiana. That is where the Indiana Dunes are. We are planning a beach party, Wine tasting and touring that area. It is 45 minutes from Chicago So we have the big city to roam for a day if we want to.
We are thinking of a Thursday to Sunday in June.

I'm so glad I didn't have the non-sleep issues some of you had last night! I LOVE my sleep!! My mother tells me that when I was a child, I was able to sleep anywhere at anytime. Just hand me a "blankie" and I was out! My love of sleep must be deeply rooted in my childhood! LOL
TGIF for sure! No big plans for the weekend really. I may go to a craft fair tomorrow or Sunday. Or we may drive out to Harford, CT to see some friends... depending on what they have going on.
Cara, the monthly craft club nite sounds like a lot of fun. You'll have to tell me more! Is Danielle your demonstrator for tonight?
