Hi..I am keeping my butt home today, thank God for FMLA,I will not get paid for the day,but it does not count against my attendance.
Sometimes,I just have to stop, exhale, take care of me.
Does anyone else feel that way. Does anyone else feel they get the short end in matters of family and love??
My soul feels tired ladies. I will pick up my pain meds, get a new phone, and relax,I hope,as I always feel guilty when I do not go to work....
Food, ahhh such a simple word,I must keep it simple.
B- Beans with and egg mixed in. L-Roasted chicken salad. D- A rice bowl, minus the rice...LOL. S- a tablespoon of peanut butter (low fat)!
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

Ahh, Miss Linda,

Never feel guilty about taking care of yourself and your needs.  Now I am a fine one to talk, but as I am on this weight loss journey, I have begun saying *no* to a few things because I know my body needs the sleep or the exercise or the support meeting or whatever I feel that I need at the time.  I don't call in when I say I am going to work, but I do think a bit more before adding extra to my schedule.  Everyday counts !

Now when it comes to my grandchildren, I am a softie.... another story !

I did fairly well with my water intake yesterday and today I am planning to push the water again.  I am at my daughter's right now for her to go to an inservice and when she comes back, I will go to Curves and water aerobics.  Then I will get my big ole butt in the bed because I have to work tonight.

Food?  well, I have a cheese stick and a yogurt with me.  With my band, I am too tight to eat much of anything in the mornings, so it may be just before going to exercise that I actually eat.  So I will have to think about food while I am at work - usually tuna, cheese stick, cottage cheese/jello fluff.  I need to fix some fish because I do love my fish, but don't know if time will permit.  I have talapia in the freezer.

Enough of my rambling - Have a great day - call it a Mental Health Day!

Everyone, take the time to take the time!  We all have to care for ourselves.  We all deserve a 'mental health day' now and then!

Breakfast - strawberry EAS warmed up after my elliptical.  Then a scrambled egg.

Lunch - RIBS!!!  My favorite, and left over mashed turnips

Dinner - some kinda warm soup with soy chips and shredded cheddar.

Snacks - maybe, maybe not

Linda,

Concentrate on taking good care of yourself today.  You deserve it.

I think I irritated my stoma by swallowing antibiotic capsules.  My endodontist told me to stop taking them but even after doing liquids all day yesterday, I'm still struggling even to swallow water, so I'm going to see my bariatric surgeon at 1pm today.  So my food today will be herbal tea and protein shakes.

Linda,

It is a necessity to care for yourself FIRST!!! I used to tell my kids I was going to chnge my name to SCOT (as in TP) because I was stuck cleaning up everyones ****!

Now that I am older, not much wiser, the name CHARMIN is more appealing.

Kisses for a better day.

Feel better Sweetie!  A quick check-in before I get busy again.  I don't feel I get the short end with family, and certainly not with love (George is wonderful and I wouldn't trade him for any amount!!!).  I get the short end at work.  For instance, we have one who talks on her office phone or cell phone - sometimes has both tied up, so her phone rolls over to the main office.  I'm so tired of answering her business calls while she's having personal conversations with her husband, sister, and DIL, who each call at least 3 times a day.  Another one is forever calling in sick.  A few days after her sick day, she lets it slip that she went to the casino "the other night" and won $$$.  She goes to gamble some nights and can't get up for work the next day.  Another excuse she likes to use is she had one of the kids in the emergency room all night.  Guess who takes up the slack.

B - protein shake
S - banana (I know, no protein, but at least it's healthy)
L - chili with cheese and a few crackers
S - protein shake
D - going to the Fall Festival where George works.  Probably hot dog or hamburger
S - peanut butter right out the jar
