Good Morning Eileen and all,
Trying to stay warm its 33 here may go up a bit this afternoon. At least we aren't getting the snow like in Indiana & Michigan.
Always something going wrong here lately it seems, Tuesday night Jen & I were in an accident in her car. A car going in the opposite direction 3 lanes over lost it's tire and it slammed into the front end of Jen's car. Looks like her car may end up being totaled, waiting to hear. Luckily neither Jen or I were hurt just stiffened up some from bracing for the hit. Her car isn;t worth much so not sure what she'll be able to get to replace it and with not working yet she won;t be able to get a loan. Earl & I will have to figure out how to help her get something since we only have one car and she needs transportation to job hunt. then last night found out Sami needs glasses however she has to go back for another test on Saturday, apparently her vision is really poor and she has lazy eye....Luckily Jen has vision coverage through her ex that should cover most of this expense.
We are trying to find the bright spot in all this stuff that has been happened since August but sometimes it's really difficult.
Hugs, Paulette

Hey Eileen and my OFF friends,
Eileen, what a shame that so many people are being effected by this nasty economy. Every day is such a worry for everyone, I wonder how and when it will ever end. All I can offer is my hope that things work out for you in your job.
Not a lot going on today....usual day off errands and chores. Yesterday I went to the dermatologist to have a "thing" cut/burned off. Ouchie! He said he didn't anticipate anything serious, but it was a good idea to get rid of it. A lifetime of So CA living and too many sunburns is worrisome, so I better keep on top of it.
Called today and got onto the volounteer list to serve Thanksgiving dinner at a homeless shelter. They are expecting a larger than usual crowd this year because of the economy. The four of us will do that and then come home, humbled and thankful, to a lite dinner. Hard to eat a ton of food after seeing how grateful some are for just a plate.
Okay, off to town and the grocery, then home to laundry and floors. Yipee!

Hi Eileen and Friends. Well, the podiatrist really did a number on my foot yesterday. She scraped at the area with a razor blade. "Oops, I cut too far and now you're bleeding." Then she proceded to apply the acid. OMG, I saw stars and almost jumped out of the chair. After she applied the Silverdein (sp) it felt pretty good, so this dummy went to the grocery and to a Hornet's game last night. By the time we got home, I was hurting like the devil. One pain pill later, I was knocked out and slept almost through the night. Up and hobbling at work today. In a few days I should be OK. If this treatment doesn't work, I won't let her try again until after my London trip.
Let's not talk about cold weather, I miss summer! We had a couple of frosty mornings dipping into the high-mid 30s. Today might get to 70!!! By the weekend we'll be really cold again.
Take care, I miss my OFF Family

Yup, Seems winter has arrived. Was so cold this morning it hurt, 15 degrees tonight. Took Mom to an eye appt this morning and then got most of the Thanksgiving shopping done. Wish I was past this weekend, too much going on. 4 differant activites planned for Satuday, have to skip the one I really want to do because I have to take mom to Angel Ministries. Sunday we are having a surprise party for our pastor and a Thanksgiving dinner,I have been asked to MC that. Monday is my bosses going away party so have to cook for that too, Making her an Iowa coin Necklace, last night I decided I don't like the coin so have to find a better one quick. If I can't find a new one at a coin shop will have to get bunches of quarters from the bank and hope for a good one. Also need an Alaska one, but they are fairly new.Sunday I have to get all traces of cat out of my apartment because I have an inspection on Monday( Judy, I have have had a"not allowed" cat for 5 years.) I also feel that I have to clean like mad. Calgon take me away. Go to run..Blessings
