What's New Thursday?

Got the meeting info.....thanks so much.

Fluffy is also throwing up a lot.....have spots (tried to clean them up, but they stain badly and even oxy-clean isn't getting it all up) all over my freshly cleaned carpet....could she do it on the vinyl floor -- NO WAY!
She coughed up a HUGE hair ball last weekend.  I've been lax in giving her the hair ball treats and brushing her every day so a lot of that is my own fault.  Anyway she eats better now but is still losing weight.  Guess a trip to the vet is in order soon.  Sorry if this if TMI.

Hugs,
Pat

Hi Judy,
It's usually her cat food (she only eats the dry stuff) and the other day it was a huge hair ball about 5 inches long......yuck!

I'll get her checked out next week.

Thanks,

I had a diabetic cat, Kittle, who I took blood out of his ear for testing and gave insulin shots to ... but Kittle was a sweetie who would let me do anything to him ... he would purr as I took blood for him, I would rest his head on my chest and sing to him (God, he didn't know how badly I sing!) I worry Scooter is losing weight too ... he seems a little bony to me. If he's diabetic, there is no way I could do those treatments to him. I would have to put him to sleep ... and I swore I would never do that to a diabetic cat because it's a chronic illness that can be treated. But Scooter doesn't like to be picked ... he'll come to be and be held, but he will not be picked up, nor will be let me treat him (I had to give antibiotics once, and he was mean!)

Hope Fluffy is OK, too.

My daughter kept her diabetic cat going strong for years & years. He weighed about 26 pounds even though he only had 1/2 cup of food per day. Zeke was big, mean but loved my daughter. Nobody else could touch him.

Joey sees the Vet in the morning. He can be a feisty guy but is relaxed when Tom holds him and I do the necessary things.

When I was in Georgia, my cat Kittle got a steroidal shot for fleas and he developed diabetes. But like I told Pat, Kittle would let me do anything to him (not the vet, though). Scooter, however, will fight me.

Can't go to the vet this week ... ran out of money. Made the appointment for next week. Hope I have enough then.

I was supposed to get my paycheck today - it didn't arrive. This has never happened before. RATS!!!!

Joey adores the Vet so we won't have a problem. I got out the cat carrier tonight and he aleady hopped in the thing and purred.

Being a pet owner can get expensive. We have already spent more on Joey's dental bills than we paid for my daughters braces.

Good Morning Eileen and OFF!
Well, it's Thursday!  Next week will be a "short" work week and I actually am looking forward to it.
I think on Wednesday dad, Gary and I will be taking a load of my stuff to the recycling place in the county I live in.  It will be a big load, box springs, a sleeper sofa, carpet and pad that I pulled up from a bedroom, all the bathroom stuff, just a LOT of stuff!
I got home last evening to a COLD house!  I had left the thermostat set at 66 but it was only 63 and even though I upped it right away, it didn't come on.  HMMMM I had something like this happen last year too.  I had to go out, turn off the furnace and turn it back on, plus I had all the electric heaters going and turned on the fireplace!  It finally warmed up several hours later.
I of course was the figure of fashion, with a corderoy dress on that is a plaid and while it fits it is a only a size medium (picture tight in the bust) but I just wear it around the house.  My legs were still cold so I put on a pair of pink long johns, then had a flowered sweater on too.  Oh and lets not forget the black/print socks I had on.  Yep, just a picture of lovliness I was!
Stopped for a chai on way into work and just took the Provigil, I do see a good improvement with being able to stay awake during the day time hours now, so most likely will ask to stay on it, despite the expense.
We have our "sign ups" for our open enrollment going on this week.  We do get our health insurance paid for by the hospital which is nice!  However, our deductables are going up but, with the flexible spending account that I increased should be able to handle it this year.
Of course that will mean less money to pay bills with, so I really need to get a better control on that.  I've decided to create a spread sheet and do bills weekly instead of twice a month, this way I hope to have a better grasp of just how many chai's I can get!  LOL
I've also decided that while I LOVE my spiked hair cut I may try to grow it out a bit.  I wouild love to have longer hair once in my life, long enough to wear it up or pulled back or what ever.  Probably about shoulder length anyway.  We'll see if I can tolerate that during the grow out period.  One good thing, if I don't like it I can always get it cut again!
I guess I have drivelled on long enough, you all have a great day!  I MAY have more news soon too!

Debbie,

Your warm outfit sounds perfect. When it is cold, fashion goes out the window.
Whatever it takes to keep warm.
