Hey everybody, 

All is well here except I'm still very tired, going to bed early and getting up early.  My youngest grandson, Sage, will have testicular surgery tomorrow to drain and repair seals that didn't close after birth.  Ouchy!  Poor little guy is gonna be hurting.

And my son's step-mother died.  I probably would have become an alcoholic too had I remainded married to Tom's neanderthal of a father.  So sad that she couldn't get away from him. 

But today I feel very lucky indeed.  I managed to figure out how to transmit retirement funds electronically at work, a task that's been hanging over my head for longer than I care to share.
Now if I can just get through the mountain of receivables that need posting I'll be feeling fairly caught up again, just before another payroll and a holiday to Oregon.

Diet is going well, still struggling with the exercise, hoping to feel more energetic soon.

Hope all goes well with your grandson. That's really tough on such a little guy.

I started to get the thread going this morning when I saw no one had, but figured someone would come along and didn't want to start it two days in a row.

I may have this toothache thing figured out.

Yesterday, I kept feeling like I had something between my teeth.  I have 'pockets' and store food like a chipmunk, apparently.  The dentist gave me these little traveling bristle brushes that you poke between your teeth to clean out the 'stuff'.  I did a thorough cleaning on my teeth and think I might have just jabbed the heck out of that calcium tori and irritated the heck out of it.

Now with that being said, I've got a fierce toothache and jaw ache, some of the swelling has gone down.  But my lips are really chapped so I'm thinking I was running a fever.  Anyway, went to Walmart and got some more Orajel (gel) and have been using that.... and took a slug of Lortab awhile ago... can you say, "I hope I don't run out of that stuff".....

I've been eating soup all day and am drinking hot tea. 

Tomorrow the drains come out.  I'm thinking about taking some nice clothes with me to the doctor's office so I can wear something decent.  The plan before I go back to work is to get a NEW outfit that no one has seen.... and I might even throw in a new 'do' at a fancy salon...

I'm bummed about Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Always am so nothing new.  One of these days I'll just give up and book a cruise.  I would have this year but the surgery depleted the bank account.

I did buy a pre-cooked turkey.  They are supposed to be really good.  I may call my friends who are in the same boat I'm in...they have sons, too.... Damned DIL's...:)

Found out Kara was in a school thing today and no one told me. AND, I could have gone.   Ladies, it's just hell to get old and be alone.

Wish we all lived closer.

Okay, well, I just downloaded Farkle and think I'll just sit here and play it for awhile.

I hear ya, Janet ... that's why I usually work on the holidays. 'cept this year I'll be in the hospital unless I can get a ride home (I'm sure I will ... just feeling sorry for myself a little ahead of time).

Let's don't start early feeling sorry for ourselves.  Something could happen that would be a real upper and we would have wasted our energy.

Can't think of what that could be, with the way things are going ... with the buyouts at work, the surgery being moved up, a sick cat or two, my financial constraints, my sick 90-year-old aunt.

Well, yikes.  Let's try to think of SOMETHING!!!
