Another cold morning here, and the wind is supposed to bring the air temp WAY down for the day.  Well, maybe not way down for you folks from the north!

I'll be snuggled in with my crochet, cocoa, and country music.  Three of the great c's of life!

These days I am using my elliptical and NOT going out to the gym at 5 AM.

Hi Janet and my OFF family:

It's cold and there's snow on the ground ... yuck! Hate snow. So why did I move back up north from Georgia when I had the chance? Two reasons ... money and to be closer to my family. Then gas went up to $4 and I couldn't afford to be closer to my family because it cost too much to drive to Chicago. Oh well. Now it's down below $2 again. But I'll work Thanksgiving to make more money.

I'll get home for the Christmas get-together but it won't be on Christmas ... it never is. It's on Dec. 14. My brother is going to Texas and then Denver on Dec. 17, and then the rest of the family is pretty fractured ... niece needs to spend Christmas with mother and then father because of that family's divorce. It used to be you could figure this out on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but no more.

And I'll be just getting out of the hospital on Christmas Day ... ho ho ho! Don't know who I'm going to get to get me out of the hospital though, which means I might end up in a rehab hospital. I can pretty much take care of myself, but unless someone comes and gets me, I'll wind up in a rehab facility. And that's not where I want to be. But on Christmas Day, I can't imagine I'm going to find many people to come up here and take care of me for a couple days. Like I said, brother Gary is out, sister-in-law Margaret is out, you can forget about my sister, she wouldn't do anything for anyone in my family (she had to be shamed into helping my mother after mom broke her pelvis). And most people are busy on Christmas, so don't know what I'm going to do. I'm usually pretty depressed on Christmas anyway, which is why I usually work. Now I won't even have that to get the extra money. Not happy about changing the surgery date at all.

Well, anyway, I should get going. It sure is cold. Have a good day.

its a chilly morning here in willoughby!!! its 35 with wind chill of 25 BRRRRRR laje effect advisory still in effect today could see 2-4 inches of snow...LOL like the foot they were predicting....lmao we have maybe a couple inches if that....weathermen!!! hahahaha

aime glad to see you are doing better...it takes time but you already know that. little LP is playing patty cke already!! wow!!!! our little guy isn't doing much yet and he is 6 months old!!! in my opinion he is spending to much time in his swing and not enough time on the ground learning to crawl and sit up and all.....sighs

woke up to see it was 7:30!!! we overslept an hour and had to rush to get rick to work...he called his boss and said the alarm didn't go off and we were running late...he said ok no problem...sighs....wonder why the alarm didn't go off?? it was set to!!!! grrrrr

well i am going to start making some christmas cookies today. only making the cut out kind far as i know right now. got all i need for those so thats what i will be doing for the next couple days. they are really good to!! not sure how to use the splenda in them so not gonna try....i know shame on me!! but its a huge recipe so i can't afford to expirement on them. also going to give some for gifts to friends here.

well the pc is still in limbo for now...erie said he talked to this computer place and they told him i need this router that costs over $250.00!!!!! i told him no way!! i don't have that kind of money for another hook up!!!!! we are now thinking if what he tries tonight doesn't work we will just hook up my tower to ricks monitor and call it quits!!! atleast i will have emails i can do then!!!! this just sucks big time!!!!!

need to get to the store to get an onion for bean soup. safe time to make it seeing as i am off for 3 days lmao if ya know what i mean!! (gas in the ass-pants) LOL

bandit is being a little imp with my stuffed snowman i have sitting on the floor!! he thinks it is his new toy!! i keep telling him its mummas not his!!! he drops it and all but he grabs it when i come in the door each time!! i think he is doing it on purpose just to hear me scold him...lol can't wait to see what he does with the tree up!!! heaven help us...lol

last night i was so tired i fell asleep early and then tossed and turned most of the night...maybe its to warm in here? nice to be cuddled and all but dam its hot in here...LOL

thursday we will be having a mandatory inspection of the apartment...they will change the battery in smoke alarm and also change the furnace filter. i have a few things myself for them to check out for us!! like to linen closet door that gets stuck when its open...hard to close it!!! also the windows leak when it rains hard against them. needs new caulk?? i also think the padding under the carpet is dry rotted!!! there is no way just 2 people can make that much dirt in the rug!!! in certain areas i can hear the "dirt" being sucked up and i know we haven't tracked in any dirt like that!!! guess i will save the next sweeper load of it to show them!!! humm maybe we will get new carpet??? would be nice!!! this carpet has spots all over and it looks terrible now that we have been here almost 2 months and see the spots we didn't notice before!!!

well i best get moving have one batch of laundry almost dry and another ready to be dried and then the start of making my cookies....oh and go get an onion for my soup!!! lol

What kind of router do you need?   I am not computer savy so there may be different types of routers.  My router provides a wireless connection so I can get online on my laptop and not have to sit at the desk and use the pc.  If that is what you need don't let anyone sell you one for $250.00.  My router cost about $50.00 and a friend installed it for me.

Brenda is not alone.....my computer has been on the blink too. I still can't retrieve my emails. At least I can finally get to my OFF family!!!  My nephew is coming over to help me figure it out in the next day or so.

I will try to catch up with everyone later today. Hope you are all doing well.

Everything is going well for me. Nic is having Chemo this week but so far he hasn't gotten sick. Kyleigh, Amanda and Lucas are finally getting over the Whooping Cough...it was bad, especially for Kyleigh. She had it the worst. Our precious little Grace is "2" today....she is soooooo excited!! All those presents coming in the mail....wooohoooo!! Wish I could be down in Iowa with her to share this special day!

I best get back to work.....need to check in with Linda S first!!

Good Morning all,

Had an early morning appt for a mammo today. First one ever that wasn't painful, probabaly because the girls have shrunk!  I know... TMI.. LOL!!! 
Talked to Carla K on the way home. The granddaughters are at their dads, DD hasn't called yet today, maybe she is sleeping in... so apparently no fires to put out....LOL!!!  DH is rearranging the Family room and cleaning the carpet in there so I'm  staying out of the way and trying to catch up on OH now. It has been eons since I have had time to myself.  No one needing me right now.  It feels odd, but nice to be able to catch up on all my dear friends ans what I've missed.  That's it in a nutshell for me.

Today I am going to work on some more Christmas crafts to finish, a blanket for "adopted" son, some beaded ornaments, a couple knitted hats for friends and some sheers to hem for DD living room.  When I'm done I'll be able to straighten out the sewing room again and get some order in there.

It is cold here, will be all week it looks like, but at least we aren't getting all the snow they are in NW Indiana and SW Michigan. 

Thanksgiving we are going to Earl's cousins house, I am bringing the pies (purchased)  and a healthy side dish and a s/f dessert.   I was a little concerned about eating a Holiday meal that I haven't prepared, due to the calories and choices, but figure if I stick to the turkey, vegies, the side dish I bring and the s/f dessert I'm making it should be all good.  I'm also taking a vegie tray for when or if  the urge to nibble Strikes.  The cousin who's house it is at knows I have lost weight and have altered my diet and has encouraged me to bring whatever I need to stick to my plan.  She did ask if she needed to make anything 'special" for me, but I told her I'd be ok.  It was nice that she asked.

Good Morning Janet and all of OFF-dom!
A bright lovely morning it is too!  the sun is shining on the snow and it is COLD here in the NW Ohio!  I think we are to get to a high of 29 today.  BRRRRRR!  I had the thermostat set for 62 during the night and heard it come on a couple of times at least. 
Took first dose of Provigil this morning and feel more awake then usual.  feel a tad "jittery" too, but I understand that passes after a few days.  I hear it is an appetite supressant too, which is GOOD since I have been eating WAY too much lately and need to supress it!  HA! Maybe it will jazz me up enough to do some exercise too???!!!!  Maybe I can lose another 15-20lbs!  HA! 
Not much new from last night, so will just keep plugging on!
