hi its Monday and it is cold here in Florida........40 degrees as we speak........with a high of maybe 60.........Golf coast of Florida.......So that is the weather report for Monday........
What are you all up too????? i am working as usual from 12 to 8 today.......hopefully it will be busy........
Well 12 more days and it is Thanksgiving where did the month go?????? i am getting ready for my dahghter and her boyfriend to come and spend 4 days with us. Can i say amusement parks are calling our name..... busch Gardens it will be......

Good Morning Carla and Everybody,
It is going to be a cold night---19 with a high today of 28. BRRRRRRR! We still have very little snow and the snowmobilers are getting antsy to take out their sleds. Fishermen are looking forward for the lakes to freeze over so they can go ice fishing.
We will be spending Thanksgiving with Grandma at the nursinghome. She is a 104 years old and is still out thinking us. We will have all the turkey and the trimmimgs. They do the cooking at the nursing home so it will be an easy Thanksgiving for me.
I have another dietitian appiontment today. Five down and one to go. I hate this waiting. Time seems to go so slow. I am looking forward to December and hopefully an approval from the insurance company and then the date. No more hoops to jump through.
Th economy around here is getting tough. Lots of lay offs in the last two weeks. My son in a parts manager for recreational vehicles---four wheelers, motorcyles and snowmobiles. They are are just passing time as there is no business---epsecially with no snow. Worried about layoffs there too.

Oh shoot, Carla, 12 days til Thanksgiving??? And I have to go back to work on Dec 1. Time HAS flown. I must admit I'm ready to get out of the house. Daytime TV is the pits. I love working.
Tried to go without my binder awhile today. I can't. It just feels better with it on. I'm going to Lane Bryant's tomorrow and see if I can find one that fits with a way to fasten it in the front and not a pullover or up. I don't want to wear the medicinal ones to work.
I should get the rest of my drains out on Thursday. I'm sure it will be nice to get into some regular clothes without having to worry about them. Everyone says I'll start perking up after they are gone. I just run out of steam so quick.
The weather was gorgeous here today. Got out for awhile after I quit dumping. Went to breakfast with my son and tried to eat a pancake with maple syrup. Nothankyouverymuch, I don't want to do that again. Silly me.
I'm going to work on my house a little tomorrow. Just do some laundry and make sure the kitchen is presentable. I may even try making my bed...:) I've got some Christmas purchased and think I should just get some boxes and wrap them, label them, and put them on the hearth so when I get my tree up, I'll have packages ready.
Not much going on around here. Had an invite to Austin, Texas for Thanksgiving but can't go. My married son didn't invite me over to their house for Thanksgiving and understand they invited HER dad who is single... so I'll be going to Luby's. We've not had Thanksgiving together since he left home years ago. Guess I should expect it, but an invitation for a holiday event with them would be nice since I only live 2 miles away. Guess I could run to Tom Thumb and get a precooked turkey. They have them for $9.99 this week, regularly $22.00. Yanno, I just may do that and invite some of my single friends for dinner.... yep. Done. Thanks for helping in the decision.
Okay, 1 a.m. Going to chair (bed). There's bound to be an episode of Law and Order I've not seen on this late.

Had a good time watching Eddie play ball this weekend.
Caught up on most of my TV shows this weekend. All I have left before this week's shows is one episode of CSI NY and 8 episodes of Bones. I have watched everything else.
Thanksgiving will be over my daughter's house. I am getting a turkey and ham from Honey Baked Ham. Taking the easy way out for the first time ever. I get off work at 6:15AM, so I do have an excuse.

it's 32 * and the high today is expected to go up to 34 * !!!!!!!!!!!! whooooooo hooooooooo and snow is predicted!!!! OMG i hate ohio......
i'm up at the buttcrack of dawn to go in to work 1.5 hours early....have to leave work at 1030 so that way my time is made up! and then i have a few ( 7 ) work days to work over-if we make up the time we can take off the day after thanksgiving with pay--the whole courthouse will be closed but our lil dept has to work! booooooooooo
so- nothing else new here- watched westerns last nite and knitted....got my DAR minutes done and a notebook to keep them all in ...so organized-yea right!!!
thanksgiving i think i have a turkey breast in teh freezer from our food drive last weekend- it will be just the two of us- everyone else is 75 miles away!!
gotta go put the dogs out!

My time off is rapidly coming to an end. I had a LOAD of things I wanted to do but I've been rather incapacitated for doing them. I am feeling better this afternoon. Might be because I went back to bed this morning and slept until almost 1 p.m.
As soon as I get my laundry done, I'm going to make banana bread to take to $4 in the morning.
No plans here for Thanksgiving. Guess I'll find some.

It was good to talk to you last night. Annie is laying upside down in my lap. Makes typing rather difficult. She doesn't care. My lap is her domain. I think Tevia should have her company for a couple of weeks. Shall I ship her down?
Next week the psychologist, (the one who does our intake) is doing a presentation "The Psychological Impact of WLS". The RSVP's have been pouring in, so I know this will be a great turn out.
I did a big old goof on Saturday. While at my daughter's house, I remembered I needed a refill of my calcium supplement. So, I called the pharmacy, gave the information, minus the Rx number, which was at home. I asked for ARICEPT. The person looked & looked. Finally she asked if I was sure of the name and wanted to know what the med was for. I told her " calcium ". She said the Aricept was for memory loss. Actonel is the name of my med - oopsie. Maybe I NEED the memory med for a bad case of CRS?

Yup, I am feeling mostly better. The brain is on overload - that's nothing new. It feels good to see a flat belly instead of lumps bigger than the "girls".
The last bone scan showed a 20% loss in my hip bones. That is incentive to take the pill once a week. Hip replacement doesn't sound like much fun.
Can't remember ****!!! That's the word we needed.
Shame on me for being a potty mouth.
