Good Sunday Morning - What's new with you?
Hi George and my OFF family:
Ugh! It's snowing. I woke up to cold, windy and snow on the ground. That melted, but now it's snowing again. This has not been a good day. Last night, I came home to a big mess of cat poop on the rug ... it was diarrhea type poop, too, which really worries me. This afternoon, when I came into the computer room, there was another, more solid, pile, on the usual spot, on the cat tower. But it had been there for awhile, so it was hard to clean up. Boy, did it stink! As I was removing it, I backed up in my chair and knocked over my cup of ice water all over the floor ... well, it's just ice and water but it made a mess. Plus, I've had the runs this morning too, so my tummy is acting up for some reason. Don't know why. It's not liking something today ... maybe it's that protein drink. Can't wait to get my AchievOnes back. Please let them be in this week!!
Talked to my mom this morning, and my 90-year-old Aunt Bernice is now in the hospital for a UTI and a colon blockage. She was in the nursing home, now the hospital. I don't know how long she's going to be around.
I had a problem with an eBay buyer yesterday ... I had some little S'Mores ornaments I was trying to get rid of ... second time I had relisted them, and finally sold one, I thought. This buyer messaged me that she bought it in error, could she retract her bid ... then she gets on me about my shipping being too high. Well, I wrote her back that I would allow it, but when I bid in error and found out I already had the piece, I just went ahead and got it anyway because I had bid and that was the right thing to do, because otherwise someone was stuck with having to relist it. Plus, I told her I wasn't in a business, just someone trying to get rid of stuff, and I sent things priority mail, and that's about what they cost me ... that some cost less, some more, and that it evened out. She got all huffy about it, said "you didn't have to be rude." I should have told her I wasn't going to retract the bid, she was stuck with it, but I did it ... I mean, you make a bid on something, you should buy (it was only $2.50 ... not like I was charging a lot). And even one person asked if I could ship it parcel post ... which I did ... and it didn't cost much less (priority was $4.80, parcel $4.55 ... she didn't save anything). I don't have a little scale to weigh things on ... I don't do these things on a regular basis, so I have to guesstimate on what it's going to cost, and sometimes it costs me more than I've charged, but I've never asked the person for more money.
Ah well, not much going on for me, just hanging around the house, doing laundry, watching football ... unfortunately, we don't get the Bears-Packers game, we get the stinky Lions, so I've got the Giants-Ravens on. I'm going to work on my ceramics a bit. Want to make some muffins, but we'll see how ambitious I am. Not feeling very well, so I don't think I'm going to eat a whole lot today.
Have a good day.

WOW you all are such early birds! I'm just puttering around slowly today I didn't even go to church. Its cold so I just didn't even want to get out from under the covers until Chance( our mini Aussie who sleeps in a crate in our room ) couldn't cross his little legs any longer! I let him out feed him and jumped back into bed Burrrrrrrrr its cold out there. Well not all is resolved for my surgery as of yet, which is scheduled Nov. 25Th I have until the 19Th to get it to all come together to make the insurance happy or it will be canceled. I'm staying on my liquids which has not been easy with all this stress( I need my drug of choice FOOD). Please remember me in your prayers at this point it will happen if the Lord has time to intervene.
Have a great Sunday,
RaeAnn

Hi gang......I woke early this morning, read the two posts that were here, then I curled up on the couch and went back to sleep! When I woke back up it was 8:30, I could hardly believe it.
I showered, and then put some plastic on the inside of our north facing picture window in the living room. Boy did it bow out as I got it all stuck down.......wind is out of the north again today and cold! I can still feel a draft in here though so I don't know what is going on. Hate to do it over again.......the plastic and tape is not really all that inexpensive!
My niece who is 10 went pheasant hunting with a conservation group yesterday.......she is so funny. She brought me the pheasant's foot from one of the pheasants that was shot. Then she proceeded to tell me about how they gutted it and cleaned it..........I pretended to be grossed out, much to her amusement! Since I have two sons and a hubby who hunt, I've been there done that..........but she thought it was pretty cool! She is the youngest of four children and the only girl, so I am surprised that she likes hunting. She also won a beauty pageant two years ago at our local county fair.........very versatile young lady! Her mom is my youngest sister I feel as though I raised Julie from birth on, until I got married, so I am particularily fond of all of her children!
Well, I moved furniture and vacummed this morning also. Getting the room set up so we can put up the Christmas tree! Won't be putting it up for another two weeks, but today was a good day to do it since next week I want to do a "quilt retreat" with some friends on Friday evening and Saturday all day!
Better go.......hugs to all ........ V

Hi All,
Very cold here...everything was covered with snow short time ago now some grass poking thru.
Have only 2 days off before Thanksgiving so trying to get my house cleaning done asap. Haven't had much energy so I made some coffee (hadn't had any for long time) and now I'm buzzing.
Once I check out what's new on OFF, I'll get back to work.
Have half an eye on the Packer game today.
At work on Friday our union members voted down management's last and final offer to our contract. I know these are hard times for all and I really empathize with those having difficult times finding work but if we lose out here we lose alot. We've weighed all the pro's and con's and we have to do what is best for ourselves and our families. We may be striking. Those at the top are doing very well but it does not trickle down at all. We just want what is fair and do not want to lose the right to negotiate this in the future. If the public new the truth, they would be appalled.
Enjoy your weekend ALL!!

It is 2:30 in the afternoon and the first I've had a chance to get on my computer. Yesterday was my birthday so hubby and I went out to have lunch and I ate soup and salad bar as I know I will not be able to eat that for awhile. (Surgery on Nov 19th) Well, last night I was up and sitting on the "throne" every half hour all night long. Terrible, terrible cramps and nausea. I am pretty sure I have food posioning from that damned salad bar!! Son, DIL and hubby helped me make stuffed grape leaves this afternoon and they just went home. I do not dare eat anything solid and have been sipping water and had some apple juice. My hubby is half Lebanese and half Germanand I am 100% Norwegian but much prefer the Lebanese food or Greek food....they are quite similar. I made Lebanese flat bread last week and half about 8 packages in the freezer. Tomorrow I start my clear liquid diet and Wednesday is my BIG DAY!! Well anyway, I have some food in the freezer now for my family to eat or prepare for Thanksgiving. The weather here is fairly nice for this time of year. We have absolutely no snow but where I am traveling to for this surgery, they have 9 inches of the crappy stuff on the ground. YUCK!! Oh well, it is winter I guess and having lived here all my life (Montana for 2 years) I should be used to it.
Hope every one is happy and well.

I am very late on this but hope its ok...my DH and I are on holidays in Florida - so we had coffee/read paper ( more bad news) and then went to the flea market. I bought a bathing suit regular $84 for $27...pleased about that because I will hopefully take a smaller size by the time summer rolls around. We are returning to Florida in late Jan/Feb - assuming we are still able to with work etc.- so the suit will still fit.
came home - swam in my new suit - made dinner and here I am checking the OH Board. Temp is cool here - high of 68. Much better than home in Hamilton Ontario!
Hope all is well with everyone and you had good Sundays
