Post-Op Binder question?
the binders are used after a tummy tuck or lower body lift..they send them home wrapped in one and you have to keep them on for a certain amount of time. not my experience but have a girlfirend that just went thru all of this.

When I had my gastric bypass they sent me home with a binder. I had open, not lap. I have just had a lower body lift and have a binder I wear now. I don't have it on as tight as I probably should because my ribs were getting so sore and I figured I had it on too tight. I can sure tell when I take it off. They sent me home with one and Candy just sent me another one so I can wash one and wear one. I was told that I'd be wearing the binder for awhile but could go to Spanx to hold me in....

Not only will a binder support your new surgery, it will also help shape your tummy area but holding it in.
I'm going tomorrow to get a 'corset' of sorts that will give me a waistline so I can wear it to work. Dr told me I'd be in either Spanx or 'binder' for a long time until I was completely healed.
