What's new Saturday 11/15/08
DH is sitting in a tree looking for another deer.....brrrrrrr!
Today I am going to go shopping, clean my house.....it only takes me an hour to v *** dust and clean bathrooms, and then probably work on the binding on my quilt while watching a movie!!!.....sounds like a plan I can live with!!!?
I am still waiting for the psych eval to get to my Dr so they can turn everything into insurance.........hope to have surgery sometime in January, but will have to wait and see I guess.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and stays warm and dry!!!!
Hugs........V
Today is a put the house back together day....the remodel of the bedroom is almost finished. Husband just needs to build the book shelves. Now I have to clean up all the junk and stuff in the other bedrooms that was tossed in there while master bedroom was out of order. Then have to clean the house from top to bottom. So need some inspiration to just get it started...blah...
Not much new here...
Just thought I'd stop in and let you know I am still kicking...
Take Care,
Cheryl

Annie and I have been working on ornaments. I paint, she steps on them. She is giving them her stamp of approval and finishing touches... paw print and cat fur.
Later today we are going to visit the "M's" - Mary, Matthew & Melanie. (Their dogs are Mollie and Maggie.) Dave & the 6 cats have different initials.
Keep warm

Good morning. Well, here we are. Saturday. Time flies, doesn't it?
Expecting my DIL over in about 20 min to take me to breakfast. I don't want to go. I've been up and down all night. I think I had the binder too tight as my rib cage is sooooo sore. I haven't slept in my bed since Candy left so I guess I need to do that tonight. Will probably sleep better since I can kinda turn over now.
Our weather has taken a turn for the worst....well, it's not rainy but it's sunny and COLD... and WINDY.... I found some socks.
Went Christmas shopping a bit yesterday. Not much, just to Penney's. Candy shops Penney's all the time. I decided to go. I sure didn't find those bargains she finds. Guess I didn't feel well enough to look. The walk from the parking garage just about killed me.
No $4 for me this morning. I'm not going as much right now. By the time I get up and get moving, it's just later than I like to go.
I think this needs to close. This is boring as heck. I have no drama, no gossip, no nuthin' going on.
Everyone have a good Saturday.
Janet
Welcome to my world. Boring just about covers it. Work, sleep (sometimes), work....You get the picture. I've been working a lot of doubles, both for extra days off and for overtime ('cause it'll boost my pension when I retire in less that 2 years), but it's taking its toll. Tired. Too tired to sleep sometimes. Never thought I'd say that....
On the positive side, when I can't sleep, I get some of my house chores done. My laundry is done, the dishes are done, and I even made the bed!
Tonight is a big night out. I'm volunteer ushering at the local college, I forget for what performance. It'll get me out. Not that I care much at this point. It's cold and rainy and supposed to snow tomorrow, and I'd like nothing better than to curl up with my blankie and a good book.
Janet, I've called and left several messages the past few days. What'cha been up to?
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Lora, if you're out there, I hope you're doing well. Keep pushing the button for the good drugs.

Janet, I appreciate the thought though. I do wish we lived closer to Mom. Her and Dad moved there a long time ago because they were sure they would be well taken care and wouldn't be a 'burden' on my Sis and I. Management, and a lot of other things, have changed there a lot since then, and the worry is worse than anything else could be.
BTW - I make pot scrubbers by cochetting strips of net. My DH also thinks they are the best thing in the world for getting bugs off the front of the car.
The economy has really reared its head at the Festival. Attendane and sales are really down this year. People are only buying what is needed and on sale. Handmade crafts are up this year as peopele are trying to save $$ on gifts.
One of my projects is making fleece bathrobes for the grandkids. I try to make something cozy for them each year. Last year was PJ bottoms, with matching Pillow cases & store bought tops. For the adults I put together a big basket of home canned goodies. Usually pears, peaches, cherries, and jams/jelly with a jar of chutney... I love doing this... my favorites. Lil' Miss Homemaker LOL
Have a fun day.... Make a fun day..... Laugh Lots and Love Much

Chilly, gloomy and looks like it's going to rain. I'm at work ... trying to make some extra money. Saturdays are pretty laid-back nights ... not a lot to do. I have two pages here, then some proofing of everyone else's pages. Plus, we usually order out. I have $7 on me, so if wherever we order from isn't too expensive, I'll do that, plus I'll have dinner for tomorrow. Otherwise, I have turkey rollups in my lunch bucket (cooler bag). I come prepared either way.
Talked to my brother for a good hour today before I had to go to work ... we talked awhile about the work situation, then a bit about the Christmas grab bag we're going to do with our family. But by the time I got to work and checked my e-mail, Margaret (sister-in-law) already picked names ... I have my brother Ed, my brother Gary has me (we already had decided to exchange anyway). So Gary and I need to talk again. I'll probably call him tomorrow and talk to him about the list.
Well, I now have work to do so I guess I better hop to it. Talk to ya tomorrow.
I'm a teensy bit discouraged here. I was up early to let the dogs out, feed them and then let them out and back in again, then went back to bed for more sleep, but had the belly pain again. That lasted a while and went away. Got up later, drank my hot chocolate/protein and got ready for the doggy adoption event. Was in the middle of screening a couple and their beautiful 2 girls when the pain hit again. I certainly wish I knew what it was and why it keeps happening. it eased off faster that time, but I came home anyway. By the time I left the weather turned colder and the rain turned to snow. Yep, we have it on the ground. Of course it won't last long, but it's here.
That;s the story of my day. bah! Hope you all have a great rest of the day and a great Sunday!
Glad to hear Lora is doing well as she can be, Marc, you WILL find something somplace. It is rough out there right now. If I could financially afford to retire, I am not sure I would - unless of course I won the mega millions.....but I think there is a requirement to win that isn't there? LIKE BUY at ticket maybe?
