Vitamins/Protein
I am thinking of starting to get my "ducks in a row" and was wondering where you all buy your vitamins and protein powder? Do you use a place like GNC or Walmart or purchase online. Of course online might be easiest for me since I live in a rather rural setting........but that's ok with me!!!
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!

I buy my protein mix at unjury.com. It is what they used in the hospital when I had my surgery and it's very popular. I like the taste better than the other brands I've tried and it can be mixed without a blender. It mixes best in liquids that are not real cold or real hot. I mix mine (choc or vanilla) with room temp coffee and then add milk and ice. You can mix it with skim milk if you'd rather. There are lots of places to purchase vitamins on line but be sure to purchase them from a reputable site. I think the vitamins are cheaper if you get them at a retail store.

Your doctor may prescribe vitamins for you. But I have checked out puritan for supplements; haven't bought them there yet, usually just buy them on sale whenever I can at Walgreens etc. Netrition.com has good deals on protein stuff (and their shipping is flat rate, only $4.95). Some places will give you samples (like vitalady). Check around, but remember, what you like now you might not like later. And sometimes the bariatric center tells you what to get (like mine did ... they sold the protein supplements for the pre-op/post-op diet).
