WHAT'S NEW FRIDAY!!!
Hi Janet and my OFF family:
It's gray and gloomy again here ... supposed to get colder and then snow over the weekend. Then the temperature is supposed to really drop. Guess winter is around the corner after that.
I'm waiting for my boss to make a decision about my knee surgery: I have it scheduled for Jan. 5, but he was saying it might be better if I have it sooner, before the big change to the super consolidated copy desk. I want to be a team player (I always am, which is why I scheduled the surgery after the holidays ... plus I want the triple time on the holidays ... a little for me, too!) Anyway, he said he'd let me know today. Supposedly, my boss is going to be just a copy editor under the new system, and then my new boss, who is his ex-wife, will take over on the super copy desk. She now runs the Web desk. At least I know who she is and I like her, and I think she likes me. I think my boss is happy to hand over the reins of management too. It's been tough on him.
I went out to the stores today to get a few other things ... to Hallmark and then to the grocery store. I'm bringing chili to work to treat my coworkers, so I had a few other things to get. The chili is already made, I just had to bring it out of the freezer. Other people are bringing other things, I hope (I hope someone remembers to bring bowls, because I don't have any). Got the cute Hallmark snowman singing thingy. I have every one of them except the guy on the piano. This year's one is really cute.
Well, I need to get some lunch. Have a good day.
