Good Thursday Morning!!!! - What's new with you?
I've been busy with a Quilt, Sewing and Craft Festival. I helped set up a booth and will work in it. We don't sell items. We are a non profit organization that is Machine Embroidery of Oregon and Washington.... MEOW. We don't use the big embroidery machines. We do free hand, which means we use a regular sewing machine. Some of the gals are fantastic.
I also work at another booth.. ASG American Sewing Guild. It is for all different kinds of sewing. Quilting, garments, crafts... you name it we do it. It has been a great outlet for my creative side. I'm hoping to have a little online business on one of the websites that caters to homemade crafts.
So, that is more than enough about me.... lol I have pancakes to fix....

Just checking in to say hi. Not a lot of good news to report, so I haven't wanted to bore anyone with the mundane life I lead. Still waiting on labels for the new product, but at least the graphic guy has completed his task and we've sent the files off to the new printer for their quote and then printing. If we're lucky, we might have them on the shelves by Thanksgiving. Two months later than we wanted, but at this point all I want to do is recoup what I've spent so far. We'll take tomorrow when it comes.
I have support group tonight. Might be a bit of a problem there. I strongly believe (as does our friend Darlene) that the stupid green gel capped Vitamin D that the Dr's prescribe are useless. I have my own labs to back this up after changing to the dry form of D my level went from 8 to 67 in 6 weeks! So, I said that at last months meeting and two of my members told their doctors I said not to take his Rx.
He said he wanted to see my data, which I am happy to provide, but I guess the big girl panties will have to come out so I can muster the courage to stand my ground with him. I know I'm right, can prove it, but you know the egos they have. Should be interesting?
Hope all is well with all of you. Remember I love you all!
Susan
I have also started on Melalueca products that I can swear by......yipeeee!!! love them.....
goodl luck tonight, would be interested in knowing the docs reaction..
...and when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly...on a broomstick.
We are flexible.

Grandbabies are THE BEST!!! Enjoy, enjoy!
Spent the ENTIRE day yesterday helping our son repair a roof. Two years ago he enclosed the space between our 2 sheds. Basically giving us another narrow (4 feet wide), shed to store pressure washer, rototiller and generator. Over the summer we discovered that it had been leaking. SOOOO, yesterday we tore off the old roof, and replaced it. This time, he purchased the type of wood he should have gotten last time, and put it on and covered it and sealed it his way. He always does these things the way his Dad suggests first, just to avoid arguments. Then he winds up having to do them the correct way later. My DH is a 'get it done fast and cheap' kinda guy. Our son is a 'spend the extra bucks, take your time, do it right and it'll last forever' kinda guy. I love that I can now go up and down a ladder, lift and bend and all that without the problems I had 92 pounds ago!
Today it is POURING and that will continue for a few days. Our son was just here to check the shed roof for leaks and all is sealed well. Thank goodness!! I'm gonna make a nice warm 'root vegetable' soup for lunch. We've had it before and it is sooo yummy.

Good Morning Grandpa George and the rest of this wonderful Family of Choice!
There's only one thing better than being a grandpa, yup, that's being a grandma Enjoy the wonder of that new grandbaby!
Things are quiet here at work, though I am covering the service center and additional attorney's whose secretaries are not in today, so let's see if that shakes up my desk today.
So I need to get through today and then my weekend starts, tomorrow will have me running around trying to get all my various errands done, which is more work than my job these days (lol), but than the weekend is mine to do, or not do, what I want, which this weekend involves preparing for my upcoming trip (leaving next Friday) to North Carolina to visit with my uncle, who has lung cancer and then on to visit with my daughters and 2 oldest grandchildren in Florida, as well as meet up with an old boyfriend of mine from 20 some odd years ago, who found me via the internet. We had remained friends after we broke up, as our breakup was more about wanting different things in our lives, but after I met and married my now exhusband, the exhusband did not like me being friends with the old b/f, who was married and had 2 children at the time, so we lost touch with each other for about 7/8 years and he recently found me through a site I participate on. Anyway, we have spoken a few times and are probably going to meet and have lunch, I have a bunch of photos from our years together that he would like to share with his children, so gathering the pictures will be a part of the projects I have this weekend, as well as taking some things to the new recycling place opening this coming weekend.
Wishing you all a wonderful day and sending out prayer and positive thoughts to get you throught whatever life brings your way!
Hugs, Laureen

Nothing is planned for today and that makes me very happy. I am just sitting and watching Oprah and then comes The View. I love that show especially when they have the whole show with hot topics. I am hoping that maybe today they might. If they don't I guess it is oh well.
The sun is out a bit this morning. I haven't seen the sun for several days. Of course the temperatures doesn't show the sun is out but if the sun gets hot enough it might help to warm this place up. I hope so.
My uncle is in the hospital I think. My cousin called last night and he was at the hospital with Uncle Bob. He has a kidney stone that has to come out surgically and he is high risk because of his age and his health problems. He is 91 and has a lot of serious health problems. The said that if they have to do surgery (which is the only way to get the stone out) he might not live through it. I would appreciate any prayers that you all can say for him. He is the only uncle that I have left. He is married to my mom's sister. Thanks in advance for the prayers.
I am going to be going. I am sending love and hugs to everyone with special prayers going up for all. In this time of great problems I am sure that we all could use special prayers. Remember to enjoy the day and to smile pretty and handsome because it may be the only special thing that happens to them today.
Grandkids are truly a blessing! I have 3 little grandsons and they are my heart.
I pick up the youngest one (14 months) every Thursday from day care and take him home with me. We have so much fun together. His mom or dad pick him up around 8pm. He's now trying to climb up on everything. which is ok except he hasn't learned how to get down yet lol. I have to keep a constant eye on him. He winds down around 7:30 and we sit in the big chair and look at books until someone comes for him.
Normal day here for me. Taking a lunch break from work and just wanted to stop in and say hello.
You all have a great afternoon!
Pam
Back from shopping/running around. Cleaning lady called; she left her feather duster here and then added she found cat pee on the rug; so I'm off to the vet again, this time with Scooter, but have to wait until next Friday when I have more money. Not enough this week and I'm afraid I'm operating in the red again. Found more cat poop on the cat tower, too. They've only got four boxes ... you think they could find enough litter to pee/poop in! I hope Scooter isn't sick ... he is 13 and this is about the time they start to get serious chronic illnesses like diabetes, hyperthyroidism, etc., things that cost lots of money. They're all treatable, but they do add up. And Scooter is such a sweetie, such a cuddler ... but he really doesn't like to be picked up, so he'd be hard to treat ... given shots or pills like I had to do with Kittle (diabetic/hyperthyroid) or Cinnamon (hyperthyroid/chronic renal failure). I just don't know what to do. This is really stressing me out.
Shopping was a real chore ... rainy weather stresses my joints and I had a real problem finding a handicapped spot; finally after three trips around the lot, someone was pulling out. Then had to stand in line at the counter to mail something, and their estimate for parcel post was different than the post office yesterday (by $4!) I think the customer service person didn't have a clue! Then I lost one of my cloth bags and had to go back to the counter to get it. Needless to say, my knee is really hurting me today. At least they opened a new register when I was ready to check out.
Janet, glad you got rid of two drains at least ... I remember having one in for my hernia and that was a pain. Can't imagine having four.
Carla, glad you are having the thyroid taken care of.
My GI doc's nurse says the "indefinite dysplasia" of my Barrett's esophagus isn't serious and it's just something that they couldn't make out this year ... it's not cancerous or anything. But I need to have it repeated in a year instead of two years. And I should take my Nexium twice a day instead of once.
Well, I should get my legs up for a while before work. Have a good day (gas is $1.99/gal!)
